Okay, so since I updated my phone to Android version 4.0.3; I cannot screen capture.
I've tried all the volume, home and lock button combinations and still nothing works.
I use to be able to hold the home button down and the lock button without the task manager coming up but now everytime the damn thing always comes up.
Its so frustrating because I used screen capture for important things so I could easily access them in my Gallery whenever needed
Help me pleaaase :(

I think if you want a better answer to you question I would post your question in your device forum, I believe you said yours is a UK version, you will get more eyes for your issue here >> Samsung Galaxy S2 (International) - Android Forums - (International)

I'm having this exact same issue with my UK galaxy s2. I've tried all of the above with no luck. Has anyone got any idea's?

Thanks

NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE!!! 05/20/2012 I've had the T-Mobile g2x for just over 13 months now (5/20/2012). My daughter had the same phone and warned me not to accept the upgrade as it would darken the camera pictures very much making the camera useless. This "upgrade" was in my face everytime i looked at my phone. After spending many hours on the phone (to no avail), trying to get the upgrade offer removed, I phoned customer care some 3 months later. The t-mobile tech assured me that the upgrade was fixed and talked me into accepting the upgrade just prior to April FOOLS Day! Sure enough the upgrade fouled up my camera and it is of little use now. After several more hours on the phone ...T-Mobile agreed to replace the phone with the galaxy model; but I had to wait until the middle of March 2012 (contract anniversary), in order to get the replacement for "nearly to nothing" with a $158.00 additional discount. T-mobile assured me he would post the discount and entire matter on my account so there would be no problem. Standing in front of the T-Mobile outlet mall and Just got off the phone with T-Mobile; .... They are not honoring the agreement! I understand T-Mobile no longer offers this phone...removed intirely from their stores with a life of roughly 15 Months.

So, I've tried many steps like holding thevolume down key and lockscreen/power key , holding home button and lockscreen/power key , and also swiping from left to right with palm which is a function for S3 . I dont know what is the cause of this problem. someone help? or is there any other way? I recently upgraded to ICS 4.0.3 from ginger breafm please advise. thanks!

Soo like u updated ur phone i alsoo n went thrugh d same prblm..

But i found hw to screen shot....
Press .. Volume down .. Lock button .. N .. Home button togther...
It'll tke time to set but u'll get it.... :)

I have no idea who you are, but I love you! I have tried and tried and tried to find something that works, but this is the ONLY thing that does. Thank you!

Why they had to make this so complicated, I don't know, but at least it's finally working. Now if I could just figure out how to do it without the onscreen volume slider showing up in every screenshot. ;)

Hey all! I have been browsing these forums for a while now (as a guest) but I finally had to register to say THANK YOUT so much! I have a Galaxy S2 running ICS. It's a Canadian phone originally locked to Rogers, unlocked with a code and currently being used on Fido.

This is the ONLY combo that has worked for me. What a pain in the @$$... better than nothing though.

Thanks again,

-Reef
