Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Anyone remember this?

Yeah, I'd say aobut 2/3rds stayed.

Honestly, I thought the clip about the sequel was it, but we stayed since our entire row was still seated and we didn't want to bother them. Boy was it worth it! Wife laughed like crazy at Thor
She found out before we saw the movie that all Marvel Comics movies have them and we hadn't known nor seen them in the past. All we've missed.

If you are wondering about The Avenger 2 it won't be happening until they do Iron Man 3, Thor 2 and Captain America 2. So the earliest you'll see it is 2015. That is if we survive past 12.21.2012 LOL

1st end clip

If you don't know who it was, his name is Thanos...Thanos is a mutant member of the race of superhumans known as the Titanian Eternals. The character possesses abilities common to the Eternals, but in some cases far beyond any other known member of his race; acquired through a combination of his mutant Eternal heritage, bionic amplification, mysticism, and the entity Death. He has demonstrated enormous superhuman strength, stamina, and particularly durability; is able to absorb and project vast quantities of cosmic energy; is virtually ageless and immortal; does not need food, drink, or oxygen; and is capable of certain telekinesis, as well as telepathy and matter manipulation. The advanced technology within his transportation chairs includes force field projection, time travel, movement through alternate universes, space flight, and teleportation over interstellar distances. Thanos is an accomplished hand-to-hand combatant, having been trained in the art of war on Titan.
Thanos possesses superhuman intellect (he considers his mind his greatest weapon) and has knowledge of Celestial and other alien technology. Thanos is a genius in virtually all known fields of advanced science and has created technology far exceeding contemporary Earth science. He is also a master strategist and sometimes utilizes a space vessel called Sanctuary II as a base of operations.

OVER $9,000,000! They just added support for Bluetooth 4.0 and he is doing an AMA on Reddit later.

Pebble: E-Paper Watch for iPhone and Android by Pebble Technology — Kickstarter

I'm so tempted. Dumb question... how far is the avg. distance you can go with using Bluetooth? I've honestly never used it for anything so I have no experience.

Edit: Alright, screw it, I'm going to help. I'd love the white one as I already have a black watch. Curious to see what devs can do for it.

According to Wikipedia, Bluetooth 2.1 is ~30m and Bluetooth 4.0 is ~50m so that's pretty useful.

I know I certainly could have looked it up, just got lazy .
Wow, that's really impressive. Somehow I was under the impression it wasn't much more than a few meters. Nexus has only 3.0, am I correct?
Looks like they're meeting their max amount quickly, so if you want to jump on it, you'll want to do it soon.

Looking for one more opinion about my app - it's getting submitted tonight, but wondering what you guys think.

So the app will be totally free, but ad-supported. I have setup an In-App Purchase to remove the ads, but my question comes with pricing. Obviously $0.99 is the lowest you can set the price so my thinking is to set it at $1.99 to start and see if people buy it or not. Setting it at $1.99 also allows me to also set a sale price for a week or two and offer a discount, which I believe would make more users buy it since they can only get it at that price for a limited time.

So my question is would you pay $1.99 to remove an advertisement from an app? Would you be more willing to buy it $0.99? AND would you buy it at $0.99 if it was on sale from $1.99 - thanks!

If I use an app a lot then I will absolutely pay 1.99 for it. I know how much work you developers put into them and happily show support for it. I like the idea of setting the price at 1.99 and putting it on sale for .99 to gain a customer base. Most of the time I'll even pay up to 2.99 to remove ads on the well developed and supported apps.

I say go with $1.99 and drop it down to $0.99 every now and then for sales. I'd be more willing to buy at $0.99 but you will always have someone who will pay more.

Wait...there was another clip after the one after the credit??? I missed it :< *cries*

I'd go with $1.99 and $0.99 sales. Most people will buy it at $0.99 as they see that they got a deal on the app.

Either way, I can't wait for the watch. Stigy, do you have any inside info with the production? Any idea when they may ship? Lots of folks are already screaming vaporware, but this device doesn't seem any different from any other BT enabled watch. Just not locked down like the Moto ones.

Now that you have backed it you should be able to read all the updates on the Updates tab on the Kickstarter page: Pebble: E-Paper Watch for iPhone and Android by Pebble Technology Updates — Kickstarter

No inside info though - just watch that page for updates. It's always nice to hear from the creators of the Pebble. They always have some more info about the watch. I believe they said September for the ship date though.

Wait...there was another clip after the one after the credit??? I missed it .

Which "credits" are you talking about? The main ones where they give you the teaser, or the "long format" ones where it lists the thousands of people involved?
If not the latter, you missed out on some hilarity. I just talked to my bartender too and she missed out. I refused to tell her what it was. ;)
