HTC A9292 (Supersonic) WiMAX 4G

I am on verizon so, I need a CDMA phone. This phone supports GSM 850/900/1800/1900/WCDMA 2100 and CDMA800,CDMA1900. So if it works on Verizon's network I may just buy it unlocked.
That seems like ALOT of bands. Is it just me or does something seem off here? Typically, Sprint's CDMA bands are not the same as VZW's (regardless of whether its a WiMax phone or not).

Btw, it shows Android 2.1 as being Flan?? I've never even heard of that. 2.1 is eClair, and the following OS is Froyo. Where are you getting this info from?

Looks like they're questioning the validity of these specs as well, so I probably wouldn't put too many eggs in this basket (neither should you, if you are considering a Supersonic, which I am not). Wait until actual confirmed specs are out - that seem a little more legit (I mean, common, they can't even get the OS correct)

I guess I am going to play the waiting game. The specs were to good to be true.
Well, with the exception of the 4.3" screen, I don't really see any "too good to be true" specs (assuming that their legit, which some are not) to be excited about. But, again, thats totally subjective - and to answer your question in the OP, I like the Incredible's specs better, which is why I'd choose that phone.

Well with these specs you can be on Verizon, then go to Europe and still be able to us your phone. I am going to Germany for an entire semester and I have Verizon. It is going to be annoying if I can't even use the new HTC smartphone that I just bought.
You're assuming that the band specs are correct though, which doesn't really have much credibility considering there are major flaws in them.

I honestly doubt that Sprint's first WiMax phone will have VZW bands, as there'd be no point in any user to use Sprint's coverage since VZW's is much more superior (with the exception of WiMax obviously, but in reality, how many markets is that really going to cover?)

Sorry, I don't let tv commercials dictate my decision making, I've had Verizon, ATT and Sprint. Sprint is my favorite of the three, their customer service has improved tremendously, I have had absolutely no problems with coverage and I love my family everything plan that is $100 cheaper on Sprint compared to Verizon.

I'm also not speaking from a media-plug standpoint. I have had Verizon for as long as I can remember, and I have almost never had a point where I had to say "Oh crap, I have no signal" nor my calls being dropped. I also have heard similar stories from almost all my friends (who are also exclusively on VZW). Theres a reason why they're the largest carrier in the US, and it sure as hell doesn't have anything to do with the "Do you hear me now?" guy on the commercials. In terms of pricing, well that can be argued, however I did not refer to that in my original post.

+1 on that man. We love out plan, far cheaper than other comparable ones on Verizon or even, god forbid, AT&T. The only downside is we have far fewer releases of the 'newest' phones. That or we just don't get the highest end ones. Oh well, I feel as though I can deal with that for a much cheaper cellular bill.
