Help Phone call lags? Seriously???

I have the Droid Bionic, never been rooted, 100% stock.

When I recieve a phone call and I "answer" it... I have almost a 10 second delay until the caller hears me.

Hello... Hello... Hello.....
Finally, they hear me...

Anyone else having this issue?

Does anyone in your immediate area have the same problem? Does it happen wherever you are located? Perhaps it is not the phone but the tower?

Well, that is a good question... It has NOT been consistant, but even hitting the END button to end a call at times is taking 5 - 10 seconds...

Its even taken long enough that I hit the power switch (to turn off) and then turn back on, unlock the phone and I still have a flashing green bar as if the call was still going...

My wife has a bionic too, we'll test it in different areas...

... just frustrating...

... and I'm a techie person...

I've had two bionics, beginning on launch day, plus my wife has one. never experienced that. good luck with a resolution. sounds very frustrating!

Some results:

Wife called me again, from her work... after i answered it never picked up.. so I hit end and called her..

Phone now wants to know if I want to merge the calls...

ARGH..

When she got home, I had her call me... worked fine.

I've also noticed (not sure if it is relate) the 4G icon is going in and out..(currently on wifi).

Maybe there are issues with the towers around me..
