It's the latest rom from AndyX after V12, this new v1.0 is Android 4.0.4, it included the latest Siyah kernel.

I have it on mine now, you can select to install as english, its not just spanish. up to not i think its brilliant.

I think that has something to do with it being part of AOKP, i think its just like a fresh new line of ROM's

I dont think as wording the AOKP v.1 as the "latest after v.12" is accurate. This is a separate fresh rom. (Similar to Omega, where the dev also has an AOKP rom as well as the Sammy based one).

anyway i have put into my original post at the top the basic specs of what the ROM has. the installation instructions on the site seem to be in spanish and english so pretty easy to follow, installing is straight forward if you do the usual full wipes etc.

I like V.12. The ommission of the radio means I'm sticking with that one. Why buy a radio app when there's a fully functional one provided free?

I think its nice to have an alternative look and feel from an AOKP Rom Johnny. Horses for courses. I for one have never used my phone as a radio.

I use it for local radio sports. The BBC don't broadcast over the internet for football matches for example.

V12 is a Sammy ROM
V1 is AndyX's first AOKP ROM
Sorted.

There are many great features in CM9/AOSP/AOKP ROMs. They are far more configurable and have some very nice features compared to Sammy ROMs. However, there are still quite a few Sammy features that you will miss which may well make you return to v12 or another Sammy ROM. Radio is one that many miss, but I miss the Dialer,contacts, alarm clock and camera. The Sammy versions of these are a lot better.

This AndyX is IMM76I based, as is Dragon+Hydrogen currently. With the release of the next AOKP build, Dragon+Hydrog3n will soon be incorporating the many great new features allowing you to install Themes, apps, kernels, modems, effects, tablet mode (basically a CheckROM type Kitchen) Having said all this, I've been on Dragon (AOKP) for a good few days now, and really liking it. I will definitely put on Hydrog3n when the new imminent version comes out.
Ultimately I will more than likely return to CheckROM+Jkay in June, as JKay basically gives all these great AOKP/CM9 type features to Sammy ROMs giving the best of both worlds.

This is pretty good for a version 1. I have had a couple of crashes using the ROM Control app and can't get some widgets to function correctly. I find these AOKP ROM's much better than the Sammy ROM's, a lot more customizable! I also find Superuser is really slow to ask for permission for some apps.

I find AOKP roms much more buggy, laggy and fc's alot more than Sammy. To me, the customizations don't do enough for me to not use Sammy based roms.

Weirdly enough the opposite is the case for me - i've found the AOKP roms like D4 and Hydrogen to be much more stable than the sammy ones.

Anyway, i'm very interested in this and will probably try it out this week some time.

Guys does anyone know why i cannot see my Internal SD Card.

When i go into the 'Storage Option' in AndyX 1.0 the internal SD card is greyed out, and the option to mount does nothing.

This was working fine in V12 and Checkrom Revo.

Hopefully it is something simple that i have overlooked, but a bit concerned that my backup is on the external card.

Perhaps i should have a look at it on the laptop to ensure that it is not corrupt?

It's there, just not where it used to be. Found at /mnt/emmc now. Not sure why...

BTW, CWM still looks under the same location for it.

Seems a bit bizarre, but im sure there is some reason for it.

I originally backed up a restore to Internal SD so i just dumped that to my laptop and FTP'd to my internal storage.

Aha, the issues with AOKP.

Interesting that adesirello is running parallel AOKP and Sammy-based roms. The AOKP one looks like most of the other stock AOKP roms...but I've yet to test it.

To be honest Kie, I think once you've seen one AOKP ROM, you've seen the lot.
Suppose the same things go for Sammy ROMS thinking about it.

Currently VK is my pick of the bunch overall.
Dragon or Hydrog3n probably my favourite AOKP. Not Tried Ressurection or Hydra yet, but like I said, seen one, seen them all!
