How's your day BB? Are you excited for mother's day tomorrow? To be honest, sometimes I want to splurge on an iPad but I want the yet to be release Transformer Pad Infinity series...really want a keyboard! I want to replace my lappy!

All is pretty good here. I go into Mother's Day with some trepidation. Mom's mom passed away 6 years ago and it still hits her hard tomorrow. I try to make sure she stays happy and that my daughter doesn't pull too much drama.
I am more excited for tonight's meat-fest (have already gone to the gym as a preemptive strike).
I can say that while I like my iPad, I'm not in love with it. The battery life is what I love. And the ease of transport. I am am iTunes girl though so that is a big thing.

So what's everyone planning for their wives and/or mothers?

Sorry to quote myself but I wanted to clarify my potentially controversial standpoint. And I do not wish to start any arguments, I am not know around the forums for anything like that and I don't plan to start today.

I just want to say that abhorrent human behavior, crimes like the one this man is alleged to have committed, make me question the nature of our "fair" justice system. I just think that if, in a perfect world in which convictions could be 100% correct, you commit certain crime that we should not be paying taxes to house these people for a lifetime or for years on end leading up to a death sentence.

Basically, if we had a concept of "no doubt" as a different level of conviction that superseded "reasonable doubt" we could have a better society. People who commit crimes against children make me red and furious.

Again, I don't wish to start any argument but I had to get this off my chest.

Thank you for listening and respecting my words, even if you do not agree. Guides and Mods: feel free to remove this if you see fit. I hope that I used wording that falls within the construct of our rules and guiding principles.

Jmar, HanSolo may argue the point, but I respectfully maintain that we no longer have a justice system: we now have a LEGAL system.

And it's one of the worst travesties that ever happened to this great country. If we get back to genuine JUSTICE, we'd be far better off and garbage like sexual offenses against KIDS wouldn't be a near daily news story. My 0.02

I have my own ideas on how to deal with this scumbag, but I'll keep them to myself because it WOULD offend

Has it prompted you for SU permissions? (or consequently denied them?)
Did you flash just the radios/bootloader, or the whole ROM itself? I wonder if it unrooted you?
Like geek said, I only use ROM Manager to flash CWM (latest) and rename backups if need be. Everything else is done in Clockwork. It's a great app and Koush is a fantastic developer, but, getting things some the "manual" way seems best.

Thanks Dread, i still have root but i cant get past the little guy on his back with the red triangle of death. Ryan tried to help earlier but i had to bail as I ran out of time. i am going to look at it further now.

I don't know if you got things figured out. If you didn't, here is what you do.

Flash CWM by whatever means, then using a file explorer, rename the file "recovery-from-boot.p" to "recovery-from-boot.p.bak", no quotes. This will allow your custom recovery to stick. The file you are renaming ensures that at each boot your phone has stock recovery. You don't want this. Hope you get it worked out! And stop using friggin ROM Manager, please!

Finally got the new radios flashed.Thanks to everyone who helped.I will let you know what if any difference they make! Thanks again!
Update: made a test call, immediately after I went from 1 bar of 4g to 3 bars. 110 dbu to 85. Speed test shows 6.53 down and 2.51 up

Did not flash a rom today. Spend most of the day preparing my 13" MBP to become a mothers day gift

Probably will have to wait until my next day off for the rom, but it gives me a bit more time to research. Have not tested the new radios out either, been on wifi today.
