Looking for a certain type of app? Post them here!

I'm looking for that Nexus One photo gallery and music player apps. Everywhere I've looked, it says the link has been removed, does anyone know where to find this? Thanks

you need to download the .atk files, they're all over online

Nexus One Music app ported to Droid 2.0.1 users (non root)|Dopetech Music

Flan Gallery APK - xda-developers Flan Gallery (Nexus 2.1 gallery)

Edit: I know the first one says to Droid 2.0.1, but I've read that it works. I can confirm that the flan gallery works but is a little buggy with the landscape back and forth, there are ways to get it to work though. You can either open it in landscape, or hit the camera button on the top right, turn it landscape, and click force close; then it will re-open.

A friend who had the droid told me about an app where you can change the interface to make you phone look completely different. For example, his phone looks like the iphone. Anyone know???

I would image he is talking about a home replacement app. Ahome, Dxtop, Panda home and open home are all examples. You can load these to your phone and download a theme to make the phone look whatever way you want.

An app that will keep me from pocket dialing. For the life of me I cannot remember to press the end button before I stick my phone in my pocket and invariably I seem to dial someone I did not want to talk to. There must be an app that adds an extra step to dialing out to prevent this. Please?

Dunno what phone you have, but the Eris has a pattern unlock option that might help. Then again, if you don't remember to lock the screen, guess we're kinda back to square one. Why don't you just change your screenlock time to the lowest setting? I would think that would cut down on your pocket dialing.

I'd like to see and ODBii app that can read (and log) live data from a cars ecu, there an app for the iphone (I think it's called iRev) that uses a bluetooth ODBii adapter.
Specifically I'd like to see one that just for Subarus that reads the proprietary Subaru SSM data over the ODB, either via usb or bluetooth.
There is an opensource project call RomRaider (www.romraider.com) that long ago debugged and figured out how to read data from the Subaru ecu, it'd be great if someone could make use of that to create an android app.
It'd be even better if you could combine this with the GPS to log data corner be corner when you are at the track. There is a free app in the market called Race Ace, that does something similar with GPS tracking and uses the accelerometers to log speed and g-load. Combine this with data from the car's ecu and this would be a really cool app.

It would be great to have a cache clearing app that clears all the app caches (not data) in one click and doesn't require rooting.

+1 ... the closest I have found is this Quick App Clean Cache v1.8 Application for Android | Tools

It opens only the apps that use cache and shows how much cache each app is currently using. Its quicker than going through settings and there isnt any guess work involved to find out which apps are using cache.

I saw this on a Iphone commercial and was wondering if Android had something similar.
It was an app that translated text to speech but also speech to text. Kinda like what Shazam does with music.
Where I live theres alot of spanish and this would help tons, also I tried Google voice but it doesn't seem to be what I was looking for, at least not yet.

Not Call Log. you can set it to return to the main screen automatically after a phone call instead of the default which is to the dial keypad. So even if you don't press end after a call and then put it in your pocket, the chances of it redialing someone are greatly reduced. It works great.
