Help Need help with app updates on Galaxy 551

Guys i'm unable to update Angry Birds Space on my Galaxy 551. Even though i got 90+mb of internal memory, everytime i try to update the app it says insufficient disk space.


App. Size - 27MB


Same happens with a game app 101 games in 1 (22mb appx) . Here the app itself doesn't install quoting the same error as above.

Can somebody help resolve this?????????

Welcome aboard.

Here are two ways of getting this problem resolved: 1.) move most of the movable apps to the SD card on the device. This can be done by going into settings - applications - downloads. 2.) Install this app and move all (movable apps) to the sd card. http://0vje.qr.ai.

the stock cache partition of G551 is 20MB .you cant install apps larger than that without rooting

In case you are rooted ,I will tell you the rest of the steps .

What is ROOT? What is its function?
What are its pro's & con's?
Will this reset my phone to stock?
If it wont harm my phone or ruin it pls. let me know how to go about it.

Rooting is actually a technically advanced process with which allows end-user to have a superior control over a device .
Like Administrator privileges in Windows but much more powerful .
Pros are superior control and access to many other apps .
Cons are ,you need to be on your toes all the time .
It wont Reset your phone to stock
It may harm your phone but it really depends .It is relatively safe .

Permanent Root option

Download busybox
then download Terminal Emulator
The type in commands

$su
#busybox mount -o bind /data/local /cache

It may fix your problems ..

I did as you said but after i enter code and hit go it seems to ask for more codes and does not exit.

STILL NOT ABLE TO DOWNLOAD AN UPDATE FOR ANGRY BIRDS SPACE. SAME ERROR MSG.>>> INSUFFICIENT DISK SPACE:rofl:
