No Instant Notifications

As of yesterday I'm not getting any instant notifications of threads I've posed in. They seemed to slow down yesterday and have totally stopped coming today.

I got a PM from someone else telling me about this - and I didn't get the email I was supposed to get letting me know I had a PM. This is the first time I haven't got that email.

Rob just said all his went into spam. I checked and sure enough that's where all mine went.

Can someone verify it is only AF emails going into spam for them, not ALL (gmail?) mail?

Not ALL (either gmail or other) mail for me. AF e-mail (& a Twitter newsletter) Spam. Everything else is appropriately labeled.

That's very strange! Why has Gmail decided that emails from AF are now spam?

In Gmail, under label Spam, I selected AF messages & said Not Spam, and AF email is no longer going to Spam for me. Did this with phone app; can do using web interface too.

Update: a new AF message just got labeled Spam. I think it's approximately this. Subject was different from earlier msgs. For now, I'll watch Spam. Better still, create appropriate Filter via web.

effective email programs are the lifeblood of a large website, this needs addressed asap.

Well we've known about one of those and from what Rob has learned they are a bit of a scammy group - and has been hassling his host to get it cleared up - but the other two are new.

He has filled out that form a couple times, too.

Anyway, this explains it then. Will alert him.

I created a simple Filter that's rescuing mine, for now.

Action: Never Send it to Spam

I don't know if this matters or not, but I have noticed the email the notifications are coming from is being listed as "<rob@phandroid.com" .. I don't know if the "<" in front is causing problems or what.. but I have even added that email to my contacts and they still go to spam.

Interesting. I had not noticed that before.. However looking at previous emails - I was getting that before this problem, too.

Until the real issue is fixed, simply go into Settings in Gmail, select Filters, add a new filter. In the From line, enter Android Forums, hit next. On the 2nd screen, select Never send it to Spam, then create the filter. You can also check "Also apply filter to # conversations below." and any messages matching the filter in Spam folder will be moved to Inbox.

Yeah I made a filter and used phandroid.com, and never send to spam. This way nothing from here gets sent to spam. Thanks though

I just got a few email notifications. Not sure if it's fixed or not. I'm not using gmail, I use Road Runner email.

I use hotmail for my email as much as I hate it but basically every email from AF says that it's a dangerous message and it has been blocked. I can manually unblock it but since hotmail is so wonderful you can't unblock it forever or put a filter to whitelist it. yayyyy Microsoft!
