Root Smoked Glass v6.0 - ESE53 - TEST 4!!

Just an update guys. AdamZ has finalized the Smoked Glass V6.0 Rom (although it's still listed in his works in progress section). I have been running some of the betas along the way but some were buggy so for the past few days I was running Simply Stunning (which was running well).

I updated to Smoked Glass V6.0 as of this morning and so far things are running really well. No FC's although I haven't really stress tested it all.

I also downloaded the Helix launcher (5 screens) this morning and that looks promising as well.

Yeah... i loaded it as soon as he released it and it's no joke. The .rom.tgz selection method is a break from the norm of just loading what is prewrapped in a nandroid. I pushed his LV1.2 and enabled jit... used it all day yesterday and today with the new Helix1.1b launch with all 7 screens full,,, the heat is very controlled and the battery never dipped below 65%... of all day usage unplugged. Linpacks fall in around 11.5 to 12.3ish... w/jit which is on par with Pete's...

I'm goanna set in for a few days and see if jit starts acting up..... other than that im liking.

I'm sorry... but since I started flashing ROM's a month after the droid was released I haven't noticed any of the other dev's use this method to offer their ROMS. Granted I could be wrong, and probably am,... but everything I've seen from Pete, Chevy,BD, Koushik, ... which is pretty much the majority of dev's discussed in this section of the forum does NOT use the .rom.tgz method of setup. He (AdamZ), is the only one recently that has offered this method, (even his SG4.5 was a standard Nand restore..not .rom.tgz), .... hence my statement "break from the norm".

Yeah, I haven't really tried that many but have tried BB, SimplyStunning, DroidMod and AdamZ. From my uneducated viewpoint, I like AdamZ's installation method the best - it offers way more customization options during install and it's simple - put the ROM on the SD Card and select it to install. No more trying to remember which update.zip is which. What am I missing?
