Root [Rom][5-26-12]Broken Out Spectrum 3.0 w/ Blitzkrieg Kernel

If I switch over to Broken Out 2.0, will I be able to simply update to its next version without losing all my apps and such?

I know I can backup apps and settings, but I don't want to have to continually download and install everything every time I update...
Yes. Generally, unless there is a huge change to a rom, you can just clear the cache and dalvik when upgrading to a newer version. If you encounter issues, you'd want to clear data, but I didn't clear data with the first few BO updates and had no issues. :D

Damn. I was hoping I was just missing a setting. Is there a certain app I could look for in titanium backup so I can freeze it?

I have no clue but it sounds like that could be whats causing it. If you can't find out whats going on then I would actually call tech support and see if they might know what the icon is and how to turn it off. Sometimes you will get a person on tech support that knows what they are doing. Otherwise you can just start freezing apps you aren't sure about and see if it goes away. Go to your battery stats and see if it's in there. You may be able to find out what it's called by looking at whats draining your battery.

Anyone else experiencing that house/signal icon turning on randomly in the notification bar? It's freaking me out! There isn't a setting to be found for it. I think someone is stealing my info from me... :-\

I'm pretty sure there was another mention of this symbol in a previous thread. I dont recall what I meant, but will try to find it.

That's funny you mention a class 10 32 GB microSDHC card. I just ordered one from newegg.

It seems that the slow transfer speed of my current card increases the time it takes to open apps that have been moved to the microSDHC card. It also seems to take forever to transfer music and other files to the card, whether it's in the phone or removed and plugged into a card reader.

After I copy all my files to the new card, I'll use the old card in my car stereo, since I have one that can play music over USB.

Hey guys...just wanted to ask some of the more experienced users on here (neph,Mt,etc.) first off, do you use room toolbox for most of your stuff, our do you use titanium pro? Also, do you use set CPU to set speeds? If so, do you just use a governor or do you also set profiles.I would love to maximize my battery.so any specific details would be appreciated.thanks in advance!

Yeah, I got the G.Skill! I looked at the AData card too. The AData card had more reviews, but the G.Skill had a larger percentage of 5 egg reviews, which is why I got it.

Small world...

Speaking of that, how many of you people are also on the forum over at Android Central?

I'm over on Android central. My name is Isaiah.Israel there. I'm either Isaiah or Carmen on all forums

Yeah, I thought that was you Isaiah! It was the whole furniture thing that got me wondering -- I figured what are the odds?

I try to stick with liteon163 for all my tech-related forums. Heck, I even try using the same avatar. And I, too, tend to post mainly here and on Android Central. But I do sometimes check out XDA and Droid Forums. Those four are the forums I have favorited in Tapatalk 2, as well.

Anyway, I just re-rooted and de-bloated my Spectrum again. I've gone just a bit further in removing apps, although I can't figure out how to truly get rid of Google +, Books, Music, and Video. By truly, I mean they no longer show up as apps, but they have bits running in the background and want to update when I go to the Play Store.

I'm assuming Broken Out 2.1 will get rid of these, among many other bloated apps.

I'm on central, eclipse, and chargeforums. I have a rootzwiki account but have never posted there before. I tried to make an xda account but it doesn't let me because I use my phone for internet. It blocks the verizon ip. Kinda lame but whatever. I never browse xda anyway. Only time I end up there is if I'm searching in google or someone directs me there. I like this forum though. Some cool people here and this seems to be the main place for us spectrums owners.

Sorry for hijacking the thread! I'm back on topic now....so broken out is really swell huh guys! See on point now :D
