I'm not jealous in the slightest!

There isn't anything about this entire debacle that I don't find in some way ridiculous. At least it seems you guys have light at the end of the tunnel now. I hope you're not waiting too much longer. :)

Early, I think I prefer the middle one. ;) :p

I know this is off topic but I do plan to take more pics of my guitar with the LTE so here is what we can try to compare it to. It's a 1960 Traditional Reissue LP...got it at a steal along with a Hot Rod Deluxe. It now makes a total of 9 guitars I own (got two on the way from ebay this week). My girlfriend keeps asking me where I plan to put all these guitars..I have to keep a few at her mom's house since i'm pretty much out of room. She is a saint for letting me have my two hobbies, guitars and phones. She still thinks I'm crazy for following all this stuff with the Evo LTE.

Most people that work for Radio Shack, Best Buy or even Sprint aren't exactly what we can call enthusiasts, to then it's nothing more than a piece of merchandise and they sell and know practically nothing about it.

Also when they get updates about it they get will tell you, and secondly they really don't care. It's just something they sell, they just wanna get through the day and go home.

Oh I get that but on Friday they knew that the phone wasn't going to be there. Jeez just give me a call when you find out. Instead they wait till the next day. At least they called though I suppose.

How hard can it be?

From left to right - One S, One X, Evo.

Gratuitously lmao!

PS, yes, actual triplets. ;) :)

I'm glad I got myself a One S! ;)

Seriously, this whole ordeal is so ridiculous. But soon, your phones should be in your hands...
It better be soon right!?!

I've an SG, which I kind of share with my father. I want to sell and get an LP, but he won't let me (it's very rare and has a Bigsby Tremelo, virtually identical to this). However, yours is one seriously beautiful axe. I'll say it again, I'm not jealous in the slightest.

Back on topic now though, sorry.

OK, so we're clear -

It's traditional among the top phone forums for a pictures thread and sometimes a video thread.

Seems like it's time to put the vibe out there. :)

I'll be looking forward to camera results from the gang, to show off the camera, but more so to share the things important to us! :)

And I am going to be disappointed if I don't see some beauty runs of that guitar. I wonder if you can do macro and panorama at the same time? That would be something! ;) :)

Big News. :)

Sgt. Slaughter, member here, XDA mod, friend, poet, and all around good guy, got with AJ at s4gru.com and confirmed via Brian at Anandtech that SVDO is a production feature of the LTEvo.

That is confirmed on the old Sprint network.

For those unfamiliar, SVDO means that you can talk and surf the web at the same time, using nothing more than a 3G connection. No 4G or wifi required.

Updating the FAQ now. :)

Wow, thats big news. I wonder how they pulled that off?

EM, I thought the voice and data were the same bandwith on the Sprint network, hence no voice and data simultaneously.

No matter, it's all gravy at this point!! :D

I am getting more and more excited to hopefully have a phone this week. Saw this at InsideSprint. Not sure if its been posted, but here is the manual

Check this excerpt.

Call a Number in a Text Message or Email Message
While viewing a text message or email message, you can place a call to a number that is in the body of the message.
1. While viewing a text or email message, touch the phone number in the message.
2. Touch Call. Your phone then dials the phone number.

K, Fox is starting to SUCK. About every other commercial has been for the HTC One-X, no EVO yet but it sucks to see it all the time and just wonder when finally.

Because HTC is finally thinking smart! Before they wouldn't heavily advertise!? The LTEvo is for Sprint to advertise, and no confirmation from Sprint themselves (we will hear tomorrow) there want be any commercials!;)

SVDO technology has been around a while. In the FAQ, I have SVDO linked to the EV-DO organization (read: CDMA standards guys).

Basically, the way it works is straightforward - CDMA is already a multiplexing technology. SVDO multiplexes voice and data.

I think data will be at 1x - however - 1x is certainly part of the 3G standard. The video in the FAQ shows pings at 167 ms and download of around 700 kbps during a phone call.

Note to WifiMaxed - you posted the video here first, but couragedragon posted it on our forum first, so I had to give him credit in the FAQ. But you deserve credit for bringing it to our attention here! :)

FAQ link -

SVDO - talk and surf at the same time on 3G

We also have our own manual download there. :) ;)

Anything you cats want in the FAQ, let staff know! :)
