Should I early upgrade?

Just got the e-mail saying I can early upgrade to the Rezound for $100 bucks. I'm really thinking about pulling the trigger and getting it. I'm using a DINC2 now rooted and have no issues with it now. Just wish I could do voice/data at the same time.

Can the Rezound turn it's 4g off and just use 3g? Would it be able to do voice/data at the same time under 3g?

One thing I'm worried about is doing the early upgrade and then not being able to get the next best HTC phone when my normal upgrade ends in Decemember. Anyone know if HTC has any hot rods in the makes?

I'm not fond of the size increase. It seems like every new phone I get is bigger and bigger ;(

I would suggest you wait it out until december. There are a bunch of great android phones with quad processors etc, as well as iphone 5, and even windows mobile ones coming out before this year ends.
Even if you are not interested in all of that, you will have a better selection to choose from, ICS will be the norm for android and iphones and win mobiles might learn new tricks.
December is not far off. Since your current phone is working just fine, I would suggest that you wait it out. This really isn't good time to upgrade an android phone, given all the powerhouses about to make their appearance in a few months.
Buying now will lock you in for the next 2 yrs, incase something really great does turn up after you upgrade.

The Rezound can do voice & data under 3G, yes.

Given that Verizon won't be getting the HTC One series phones, the only Verizon-HTC phone on the horizon is the Incredible 4G, which for my money isn't significantly better than the Rezound.

You could wait a month and see if any new rumors trickle out, but if you're looking for a news leak to tide you over and help you resist the Rezound, there isn't one right now.

Just to clarify, if we just upgraded, can we keep our unlimited data for the next two years, or will ours get canceled as well?

It appears that you can keep unlimited as long as you don't change phones, or if you only activate phones that you buy from third parties. Buy a subsidized phone from Verizon, and they take away your birthday. This, of course, will only go into effect sometime this summer, so you're OK to use an upgrade for now.

I'm a big HTC fan, but with the Samsung Galaxy S3 around the corner it would be silly not to wait and check it out, just to have all your bases covered

yeah but if he want to keep unlimited and S3 is not out, then he has to pay full price. So why not get it for $100, then sell it to recoop when he has to pay full for next great phone. Out just keep it as a spare.
