Recently, I've been playing around with my overclock speed and voltage settings using IncrediControl on CM7. I've found that even running high overclock speeds can have pretty decent battery life so long as you keep the voltage as low as possible with your speeds. Here are my settings:

61mhz - 600 (lowest for this CM7 kernel)
122mhz - 750
245mhz - 750
576mhz - 850
768mhz - 850
1024mhz - 975
1113mhz - 1000
1209mhz - 1050
1305mhz - 1125
1401mhz - 1200
1516mhz - 1225
1612mhz - 1275

My settings are InteractiveX/SIO min 61mhz - 1612mhz and I get pretty good battery life. Although I do have a 2000 mAh battery.. I'll see how long my battery can last completely once I do a complete test. Just sharing my findings so far :captain:

By the way, is it harmful to test out clock speeds at lower than usual voltage? I found if I go lower voltage than it is able, it reboots automatically. Is this harmful for the CPU? How bout testing the voltage for higher clock speeds?

how u get 200 o.o isnt the lowest one can go is 600 depending on kernel? n where u get 2000 MaH battery?

Well anytime your phone rebooted its technically not good. See the reason why it rebooted when you u dervolt to much is because under a load at that speed, the cpu starves for voltage because of the lowered voltage settings and it faults then reboots. Its probably not causing much harm but overtime it can cause excessive wear on the circuits of the cpu.

I think 600 is about the lowest on any kernel and there is debate on whether the hardware will even allow below 800 no matter what voltage you set it at!

Yea it looks like 600 is the lowest for the CM7 kernel. Oh I always like to check for extended batteries (habit from Optimus V batteries since I had a 3600 mAh one for it) on ebay. Recently saw a 2000 mAh and jumped on it. Just search for motorola triumph extended batteries on eBay

@b_randon14 omg undervolt! It saves so much battery life. A single charge can now actually last me almost a full day.

Have you been using the 2000 mAh battery? If so, is it really a 2000 mAh battery or is it just relabeled?

Ah I can get through a day on mine usually. I always end up pushingg it to low and causing.g reboots lol!

Yeah it took me a while to get the lowest,,,i got it under clocked at 806 and the table goes ;;;;600,650,775,800,850,850,875,875,875,,charge my phone overnite when i go to sleep and thats all i need to do,,,if i didnt use it at all i think it would surprise the sht out of me,,,before i was charging like twice a day,,,sometimes 3,,,its definitly worth the time and and effort undervolting,,i really dont notice any change in performance running at 806-245,,ondemand running cm7 guiding light with everything set to performance and animations,,still runs great,,,too bad im staying in tucson near kolb and golph links and will have to change carriers,,i dont get my messages,,cant call,,,downloads at 56kilobytes and slower,,its like a black hole in that little area,,,,damn i really got attached to my phone to,,,going back to tmobile 30 dollar plan or cricket 55,,,there service works great in that area

Have you looked into getting one of those Sprint in-house tower antenna thingies that gannon's parents have?

Have you tried setting those lower clock frequencies to maybe 750-800 instead? 925 seems a bit high for the ones on the lower end. Might save you more battery life if you tried lower :stickyman:

@all: So is sio the best I/O scheduler for the Triumph or something? would changing it to something else save even more battery life..? ^_^

I've read several posts in various threads saying that sio is in fact the best for any device. There's a nice overview of CPU governors and I/O schedulers in this XDA thread.

I've tried lowering the values from what I posted, but it always seems to end in random reboots. Maybe I'm going for too much at once.

Is this possible?? I've set my voltage all at 600 and it works! I'm running cm7 and smarta$$ 61-1.2GHz. If it is in fact running at 600, does that mean I might as well set it to performance? Is there a lightweight app I can use to check if I'm really running at 600 voltage?

think its a bugg!
im currently using Scary/sio
122 - 700
245 - 775
576 - 900
768 - 925
1024 - 1025
i have pretty good drain even with use. i get about a full day use and i use my phone for music(not streaming) at least 4 hours a day. if anyone has anymore ideas to get battery life for listing to music let me know. i skateboard a lot and this is my beat it sucks when it dies.
