Well if they attempt to deliver it on Friday I will still get it Monday when I get back to town. I live in an apartment so any missed deliveries go to the rental office.

Hey are you sure the rental office where you live will be open Monday? The office in my apt building will be closed on Monday since its a holiday. Although if I was you and found out I was getting a package Friday I could call my rental office and they'd put the box inside my apt for me.

Yup already checked. They have short hours but they'll be there. :D

Just a wild prediction and why...
Tomorrow Sprint will announce the launch on Friday.
Then we will start receiving our shipping notifications on pre-orders.

I think you're spot on with this. This would line up with the 24th they've stated on the order status page as well. Ship on the 23rd to pre-orders and stores. Arrives to pre-orders and stores on the 24th, available in stores on the 25th. Basically a 1 week delay.

Since Evo 4g lte will not have root for a while, what is there available for free wifi tethering so I can tether my iPad to the Evo 4g lte?

Most new phones have Bluetooth PAN tether. I learned that when i had my Razr Maxx.

Also any one get a Tracking number...? I was told that mine wouldnt ship till thursday so the first day i could get it is tuesday

Let's hope it works! Ive only use that app a few time and half the time it didnt work!

CWM is supposed to have an app on the market that works free even without root. I'm completely oblivious to said app because I've been rooted for so long, I've never tried it out. :( Sorry.

I'll be in town for the weekend, then I leave for work Monday night or tuesday morning. If I don't get it this weekend at BB, I'll be waiting until next Friday when I stroll back into the Burgh. POOP :bawling:

PS: as far as I know HTC dev will be available to unlock the bootloader as soon as you get your phone. There have been a few rooted stock roms posted over at XDA and linked in the All Things Root forum. Once we get confirmation that they work and all is kosher, you could just root it and use the root only teather apps available. If you're interested in root, once you get your phone we'll get a root thread started in the All Thing Root forum for you. :)

I've been the same way i have alway rooted for WiFi Tether. I only use FoxFi when I updated and root did stick.

I'm guessing that wasn't supposed to be a joke (or maybe it was?) - but I was drinking water and almost spit all over my screen when I saw your screen shot. A big, fat.... NOTHING!!!! :p
Strange. It showed up on my screen until I refreshed. I had that same problem when I tried to post a meme a while back.
Anyways, thanks for the heads up. Can you see it now?

Wondering if those who ordered at Best Buy have tried calling their main mobile number to ask if they had any credits or special offers for going through this whole ordeal with their pre-orders. Also, wondering if anyone has called Sprint and got a credit applied to their account for this whole pre-order delay ordeal? (I am not putting blame on a particular company, and I am not interested in discussion on whose fault it is, because in the end nobody will take the blame) but this question is more to see if anyone has gotten any special offers or credits for dealing with all of this.

Yes! But I seriously did almost spit my water out when I saw your post the first time :D
Well, now I feel really silly. The screenshot I posted above was from the shipping (outgoing) section. Which is completely irrelevant .

In any event, I still cannot find anything pertaining to incoming shipments in UPS My Choice.

Wondering if those who ordered at Best Buy have tried calling their main mobile number to get the $50 phone freedom discount (even though signed up ended in Feb.) for going through this whole ordeal with their pre-orders. Not to say we are entitled to anything either. It is just one of these things that can happen I guess.
I just wanted to know if anyone had any experiences trying to get any type of discount/credit/special offer and how it went.

What do you mean calling their main mobile number to get the $50? You only get it when you upgrade your eligible line. Do you mean seeing if Bestbuy will just give someone a discount even though they missed the cutoff?

Hey, no worries! I feel silly a majority of the time, you get used to it ;)
