Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

We have a list of things to do.

Quincy Market, the aquarium, Sam Adams & Harpoon Brewery tours.

Anything you'd recommend?

You hit the good ones, if you are a sports fan, the Fenway tour is pretty cool, even if you aren't a sox fan, there is a ton of baseball history there.

For restaurants, depending on where you are, there is Maggiano's Little Italy that has great food. It's in (near) the theatre district. It's in the same building as Legal Seafood (which is good as well).

Root help needed

I'm fed up with my buggy 4.0.2. Final straw was yet one more customer saying "hello, hello" when I can hear him fine. I seem to have the intermittent dropped calls issue.

Can you more experienced pros direct me to your favorite sites for unlocking the bootloader, and rooting, then installing 4.0.4?

I've found a million sites, but sort of feel like sleeping around, not sure what I'll catch from these strangers.

You guys, I've seen you all naked so I know what I'm getting.

Remember, I'm a rookie, never rooted, etc before, so I need the idiots guide, not the Chief, Baby Blues, or Captain Ron's expert level.

Thanks in advance.

Morning all...TGIF to the Friday peeps...and a hearty Remember The Troops and be safe to all, for the weekend.

Congrats stigy on the app...moving on up!!!!

Just a little bit of my experience...I have a regular printer, a canon mp990, at home, plugged into a desktop computer that is always on...but the printer is registered through Google Print. Thought I might mention that as I print regularly from my Nexy..... PDFs emails etc....I use this app and it works great. Just remember to set up the printer via the PC first!!

I used the Wugfresh Root Toolkit and it was my first time rooting. As long as you follow the directions (which are pretty easy) and don't freak out if it looks like it's boot looping, you should be able to follow it. My general rule of thumb is: Read the directions before you start - twice. Then read them again and follow along with them, completing one step at a time. If you get stuck, I'm sure one of us can help you. Good luck!

...adding to what dawnierae said, if you get uncomfortable during the process or something doesn't look right, ask before you press on.

I like the way that looks and it let you add a second large window in the front (which you'll enjoy in your study). I really like how the main area is open and free flowing. One thought I have would be to extend the pantry outward to the angled wall separating the utility room and the garage. It would eliminate an acute angled area in the utility room and may be easier to access as part of the pantry.

Thanks! I'll give that a look. Honestly don't know what to do with that open space there by the study....maybe just a sitting/reading area overlooking the front? The wife wants glass french doors in the study so we make use of that large window there for the kitchen as well. We're trying to put as many windows as possible because we hate how dark our house is now. Most of the re-arranging was the wife's idea but a few tweaks were mine...now it's off to the wife for approval. After that we'll go shopping for blueprints!

Good afternoon Gnexers!

Well, everything is coming together for our Memorial Day ceremony on the Square Monday. My speech is ready, the radio station will be recording it for later broadcast/streaming, Taps player, doves to be released, National Anthem... a fitting tribute to the people who gave all so we have the freedom to sit here and talk to one another about geeky stuff :)

I won't get political because this isn't the forum for it, but:

If you can read, thank a teacher.
If it's in English, thank a veteran.

And this weekend is the perfect time to do the latter. THAT'S why it's Memorial Day.

BTW I like the "Like" button! It separates "likes" from "thanks" and that's a good thing in my mind...
