HTC Desire on O2 UK

Will be calling back to see what they can offer as I am a loyal customer and they seem to think they can offer me a deal.
.

When I called to request my pac code to leave the network so I can pre-order the Desire from T-mobile they didn't say anything about this phone , just mentioned the HD2 . When will you be calling them back since I've been a loyal customer for 5 years ?

I will be calling them back as soon as something comes up on their website or the 16th, whichever is first. Hopefully the are not BS us when they say they are getting this in April or that they can do a good deal.

On a possibly seperate note, I can get this on 18 month contract with unlimited data, 300 mins and 300 texts for

I did notice when I went through the online upgrades, the only things they really had where the HD2 and the Palm-Pre, but both where pretty pricey.

I specifically mentioned the Desire when discussing my reason for leaving, was also going to mention the XPeria X10 to see if I could get a release date for that but forgot. The lady on the phone did say they had stock showing as coming in that day, but you never can tell whether they will say anything to keep you as a customer.

Think the upgrades system is a joke. They wanted

I'm just fed up with my W810i and want to upgrade to an android phone , it's just a shame that that means leaving 02 ( dislike of the iphone and their blackberry ones )

I feel your pain. Only 1 day back using a dumbphone and I feel lost already.

May re-consider when it is officially launched in the UK as I am just on a 30 day rolling contract at the moment.

I think I will give O2 a ring or go into the store today. If they confirm 29th April at the earliest, I will be cancelling and moving elsewhere. Seems like the 16th April thing must just have been BS to keep me going elsewhere.

I would imagine T-Mobile will be a good bit cheaper anyway, was just hoping that they (O2) would maybe offer a good deal as I have been with them for a while.

Why can't these companies just be honest. O2 seem so stuck with the iPhone they seem not to care about anything else. There selection of handsets is pretty poor and not having a coming soon section is really just a joke...

Would really like to see this out on all carriers and then I can make a decision based on that, but not sure I can wait that long. :D

Not having a decent phone is killing me.

I'm with o2 at the moment, but moving to T-Mobile. o2 charge far too much. You can get much better deals almost everywhere else!

I just got my PAC code from o2 for the same reason! The guy on the phone said they might be able to match the deal from MPD (but I doubt it they would).

He acknowledged the congestion in london for o2 as well and mentioned 4g as something that might help this. Still a while away from a 4g phone myself though, especially if you have to pay more.

Did he mention if/when they would be getting it in? I nipped in to the O2 shop and the fellow said he had no idea when they would be getting it in, wasn't even sure they would be. Mind you the T-Mobile shop was no better, saying they might get it in, in the next month or so!

Decisions, decisions....

I am quite tempted to just cancel with O2 and go through T-Mobile. The MPD deal is much better at
