Root [Rom][Port] LeWa OS Beta

Yes, I did wipe three times. I didn't mess with the swapper... though it did crash a few times. I didn't have a backup at the time, so that is why I had to Odin, since I couldn't get it to boot again. When I was able to boot it would take a long time (at least 10 mins at the longest). I installed Hroak's andreno drivers for the 3D stuff and it seemed to take.

I also had on there the ZV6 tweaks (except the 07 tweak so it wouldn't boot loop. They seemed to work good. And the 3g optimizer seems to work well on this too. Was getting good speeds too on downloads around 800s to 1300s. Wasn't sure if the 3g turbo tweak or the V6 tweak would work on this rom, if anyone has tried all these tweaks, what are the best ones to use on this rom?

i tried porting the deodexed version again and it just stays stuck on the lewa bootscreen. its been like that for a good 20 minutes

If you just flashed hroark's adreno zip for cm7, you replaced the build.prop from this ROM with the one for his cm7b5 with the lines added to work with the libs

Few things I've noticed:

• Lock screen has the months in Chinese.
• Market app force closes every time. I can't install anything. I've tried several methods to try to get it to work, but nothing has worked.
• Wifi didn't work at start. I had to reset the phone and turn on and off the switch several times before it worked.
• I keep getting that 9302 text on my Messaging app.
• The phone lags at first during the settings screen but eventually goes away. I blame caching for this
• The sound is indeed a bit low. I wish there was a way to increase it.
• Not sure why but once in awhile my Boost settings gets removed from Mobile Networks.
• A lot of the apps still have Chinese settings and characters
• The LeWa cStore is all in Chinese. I believe it would be best just to remove it. Unless they have an English counterpart.
• Sometimes hitting certain apps on the app menu starts up the wrong app. Example I clicked on Email once and it opened up the About Lewa app to do an update.
• That Gallery Icon could be improved LOL.
• The Intercept app looks and sounds cool but it seems to be causing some issues, main cause of the 9230 text error.
• SDManager app force closes every time.
• The SuperUser app is the Chinese version.
• The Version Upgrade icon or app should be removed as it doesn't work correctly.
• The Calendar app has it's name shown in Chinese and in fact most of it is in Chinese.

These are just some of the things I've found so far. I'm sure there are others but I haven't tested everything yet. The phone runs REALLY smoothly. I love this mod it's slick and fast. Just needs some fine tuning that's all.

I'll let you know if I come across anything else. Right now the biggest problem is the market app not working.

Its really interesting how the only ting I can agree with is intercept and the sdmanager. Everything eleven works wonderfully. The only thing that I think needs work is the intercept thing and the UI. (Kind of jumpy for me)

there is a new link in the op with intercept taken out of it. and it also runs smoother in my opinion

For some reason, this rom kept fcing even before I added any tweaks or the cm7b5 files. At least I know now not to add the andreno files since it messes with the build prop. Since I did odin back to stock, maybe it will take this time. I will try it again and see how it goes.

There was nothing really to agree with my friend. I was just pointing out flaws and bugs I've noticed when I ran the mod. This is a development beta after all isn't it?

go in to the mms settings and select the option to split it at 160 characters.

if you send a message over 160 boost gets confused and sends it as a garbled mess... (stock did this automatically)

I had issues with the MIUI Gingerbread Rom and blovadova told me he no longer owns a prevail so I don't think there will be any update from there. I've started looking into what it takes to port and make roms and it's all way over my head but if you post any specific problems maybe someone can help.
