  8. If we uninstall any application, do we having any tmp files in phone memory. How can we delete those?
  9. How to access phone memory and its contents?
It would be great help from you all.

Thanks in anticipation.

1.Transfer the apps via Manage application.
Note : Not all applications can be saved in SD card
Apps cant be installed on SD .

2.NetCounter

3. Didn't get what exactly you expect

4.JuiceDefender works fine

5. Dont use data connection ,dont use 3G ,wifi, bluetooth,.Underclock the processor to 160MHz ,become a monk and pray in himalayas.

6.Disable Auto sync in the Settings -> Account and Sync menu.

7.Rock player and mobo player can play flv and mkv.BUT 551 cant HANDLE flv and mkv .MKV -480p stutters and audio mismatches. Some flvs has video-audio mismatches. AVI-640 p stutters but has audio and video in sync.Rmvb stutters and has mismatches.rm works just fine.Processor is weak.
Moral of the story: Convert videos and add to your phone.

8 and 9 : NO
Accessing internal memory is tricky and dangerous.A basic command over Terminal is necessary. You need to root your phone before accessing the ROM.

Thanks a lot for the useful information.

Reg #3 - I have a software named DROIDSTATS, this is very useful application for managing call and sms. It is having counter for sms and calls. Very useful application. Just want to do we have such other application.

What I meant was I didn't know what exactly you wanted. :).There was a beta app I used a while ago which gave you stats on how much time you talked to a particular number/contact ,how many sms were sent by a particular no. and so on.Will notify you if I got the name.

How can I see the 3G Icon while am using 3G services on Galaxy i5510? As the same icon can see on Nokia N73 but when I inserted SIm into Galaxy not able to see 3G. Please suggest.
On top right corner
going right to left
you have battery indicator, signal strength ,3G/H(HSDPA) or E (Edge) icon and then the silent indicator.
OR

Try *#*#2263#*#*
Enable all in WCDMA

Do I need to check "Data Enabled" in setting as on top right corner I can see Signal Strenth (Without 3G/H/E), Battery Indicator and Time. Currently "Data Enabled" is not checked. If I do checked the "Data enabled" then will be charged for using mobile internet.I just want to see 3G network with 3G icon.

I tried *#*#2263#*#* and enabled all WCDMA but in that case too I am not able to see the 3G over there nearby the Signal Strenth.

And when we search for netwrok, then also we are not able to see any Network Prefix by 3G.
Please advice what need to be done here.

But in Nokia Mobiles, we do have 3G Icon by default whether we are using internet/GPRS or not. Its bit confusing that if will charged or not if making enabled the data in our galaxy. -:( bit disappointed.

Perfectly Not !!!!.Nokia doesnt give you an option for 3G/EDGE or WiFi .If by accident you access a website/link you will be charged with the Data charges .
Whereas Samsung provides you a control over the data connection.I mainly use WiFi for accessing market and emails so the data transfer is switched off.
An icon makes no difference to me.You will only be charged if you access data i.e if you keep data enabled and browse website, access emails or use an app which connects to internet. If you dont do anything you wont be charged.
Nokia N73 is a simple phone whereas 551 is smartphone.
My friends used to create blank profiles in Nokia just so they dont connect by mistake

1. How can we copy contacts from SIM card into 551??
2. Some times my phone restarts automatically, do you know y??
3. My battery charges upto 88% only, is there any ways its capacity increases?

Thanks in advance

1.)Contacts->left button ->Import/Export ->Import from SIM card
2.)Go to care centre and have it replaced/repaired.There was a bad batch of 551's and your's is one of them!!
