Has anybody figured this out? I'm on 4.0.4 as of this morning, and tried adding my Facebook accounts under "Account & Sync" in the phone settings, but it doesn't work. It loads up the Facebook app and just hangs on the blue loading screen. I'm assuming this is a problem with the app itself and not with the OS, but it's a bit frustrating.

Anyone had any luck getting this to work?

Edit: I'm using the newest available version of the Facebook app.

Just sign in through the facebook app.

if you are trying to get your FB friend info to sync to your contacts list, it wont happen on a stock phone. you need to be on a custom ROM that supports facebook sync.

All I really want is contact photo sync. I'm not sure what you mean by signing in through the Facebook app. In old versions there was an option for it, but I've looked through the new FB app settings and don't see this anywhere.

Do yourself a favor - unlock, root and ROM! Baddabing...problem solved!

I'm kind of burned out on ROM'ing from my OG Droid days. Used to swap ROM's four or five times a week. I don't really feel the need to root the Nexus. I've had zero problems with it and it does everything exactly how I want it to do it aside from Facebook. No reason to mess with what isn't broken.

I'll try HaxSync and see if that does what I want it to do. Does it require root?

no, I use a app called "facebook contact sync" if your looking for options. It seems to work well for me.

HaxSync does not require root.
