App clutter on sd card?

Is there any way to know what folders are related to what apps (currently installed or old uninstalled ones) or other nonsense? I mean, what if I wanted to de-clutter-ize my sd card? Help?

Usually the data on SD card associated with the app will be in a folder named after said app, or else the developer's name.

Sometimes the folder names aren't clear and you may be unaware of the developer's name. In that case, just do a few searches online of folder names and you'll discover which ones you do and don't need. I know I uninstalled a few apps but they didn't uninstall the folders they created in the SD card. I just searched online to find out which folders could be deleted. Hope that helps.

Yea i got the same problem. Someone should make a app that searches your phone and tells you what related to what. And advise you on what could be deleted.. Off to do some searching...

a) download a file manager (Astro, Android mate)
b) plug it into a PC and mount

also i made a music file on my sd card for all my music and they come up when i play music but when i search for them using the search bar i cant find them any ideas?

You can put .apk on your SD card. You can't run apps off your SD card unless you root.

Menu button -> Settings -> Search -> look for a setting that lets you enable what to search and tick "music."

So how do you run apps from SD card once rooted.
