I was going for a very simple stock looking rom with minimal cosmetics. The only cosmetics that were added were for extra functionality

Busybox enabled
Includes LeeDroid Tweaks
Sense 4 Clock widget added
goo-inside.me updater enabled (notification of rom updates)
Removed carrier bloat
All apps up to date
Many speed, data and memory tweaks
Prolly other stuff I have forgotten.

Instructions:
Download
Flash in recovery
If you are s-on you will need to extract kernel from zip and fastboot flash boot boot.img
Reboot
Profit

Also, fyi, discussing how to flash a cdma carrier is not allowed here as at least one of the steps is illegal in the USA if you don't have carrier approval. (It didn't go into any specifics, so this is just a reminder ).

Advanced task killer on ics..

I'm going to try to suggest as nicely as I can (while hiding my true feelings ) for you to not include that. Many people say it does more harm than good on android gingerbread and up. Otherwise, looks good! Diggin that sense 4 clock, looks a lot better imo

It was from a restore from tb....just didn't remove it. its not running in taskbar so its not doing anything

BOOTLOOPED on first boot.... Battery Pull, Booted on second run....... UP and Running Will Test For the next few hours....

Did you try running titanium backup or something else that requires root? You might be rooted and not even know it.

I'm not going to say idiot because I don't roll that way but if you don't have apps like leedroid, goomanager and superuser then you didn't install my Rom correctly. But the steps you took are correct.

The command should be "fastboot flash boot boot.img" no hyphen.

First read the first thing I say in my post. I have no issues with that
just give credit where credit is due. Second, I highly suggest you do it on your own. Just for pure learning experience. But as I said, no issues either way

I can add beats in but it won't be disableable/enableable. It will always be on and no notification for it. I despise smali and want to avoid messing with it if possible

You have unlocked the Bootloader (or have s-off), and have flashed a custom recovery before doing this?

Unlocked bootloader, and yes, custom recovery. I'm going to give the whole thing another go right now.

Wow it worked. Thanks guys. Things I did differently - didn't use a USB extension cable, got down on my hands and knees and plugged the phone right into the back of my PC, also, I didn't do the flash with .zip verification or whatever the option is.

Word bird, i really just wanted to use it to try and get used to the sense system layout till i can compile my own ROM from stock deodexed backups, I would always credit you, even if i didn't use your ROM as a base, just for having the path for me to follow, I really appreciate you having this available as soon as you did. it'll make things easier for people like me who have never used an HTC before.
I can't wait to play..... Your Stock-ish ROM is still running smooth! NO Hiccups. Once again many thanks.

I installed GO Launcher EX, but I'm unable to add the HTC widgets on the GO Launcher EX home screen, anyone know how to work around this?

You have to use sense to use HTC widgets. Can't use them on other launchers

Damn. Well do you know if there's anyway to get swipe commands in Sense? I like GO Launcher EX because I can bind an application to swiping down on the home screen. I have it set to (and am addicted to) lock my phone when I swipe down. So I don't have to press the power button. Also, I like being able to press the Home button and have that bring up my App drawer, instead of having to have a shortcut on the homescreen to do so.
