As some might have noticed I have been absent from development a long time, I would like to continue my work with the Optimus M. Even though I upgraded to another device the M was my first android phone and I still love that device.

This new thread is kind of a request to someone that would like to see this device get back to life again. I would try to make the dream of many come true and get ICS to the Optimus M. If there is someone out there that has a spare or a device that they don`t use and it could donate it to continue development; that would be extremely appreciated.

A little while ago I was trying to find a root procedure for 2.2.2, while in that process I hard bricked my device. There`s no actual way for me to unbrick it and that has been the reason of my absence. I have tried several times to flash with LGNPST but it`s a not go. Always get an error saying "Number of bad blocks exceed please replace flash".

As of right now I would like to continue development for the device. If theres someone willing to donate a device (if its possible) please pm me.

You guys will not regret the donation.

Best Regards

Someone donate to him please :D he's the best dev I know. He's the reason many of you aren't bricked or stuck in fastboot (including me). He brought custom recovery to us first, he brought ROMs to us first. You all know you want ICS on this phone and it is possible, they got it all working on the Optimus V (the phone is VERY similar when it come to the processor and memory it has), and I can't just port it like any other gingerbread ROM....the O/S is completely different from froyo and gingerbread.

Glad to see you on here again. Unfortunately, I don't have a spare/unused OM. I have since moved on to the OM+, and have one coming for my wife as well. The two OM's that I have, have been promised to my two oldest children, and I can't renege on that.

If you guys are unable to successfully bid on ebay for a device, I have one available.

I no longer need it as I'm upgrading, however I would like to ask for 30 dollars to help offset the cost of my new device. I am on a fixed income, otherwise I would gladly just give him the device.

I've had this thing for 1 year, it's rooted cm7 and in pretty good condition physically. I like the device and would keep it but I'm really over metropcs.
