I am. My Tbolt is still very snappy and does everything I need a phone to do, but I'm itching for a new phone. I'm hoping to be able to keep my unlimited data too. I wish they would just announce the new data plans.

If you pre-order the galaxy s3 you can keep unlimited data. I am going to get it, because the bolt's time has past for me. I usually only keep a phone for a year. This will be my first samsung device, so we will see how that goes.

Same here so I went with the maxx and so far I love it, ut really the Bold is a tank and still a great phone. The screen on the Maxx is sexy

Just got my PO in at BB. I'm really excited about this phone. Will miss the kickstand The tbolt will become my back-up phone since I don't get insurance on my phones I agree with you BaadAndy, the bolt is a tank, but still a great phone!

Yes. VZW will be coming out with new family data share plans and when that happens, if you upgrade (want to buy a subsidized phone) your phone, unlimited will not be available, no more grandfathering in. You will have to get a tiered data plan, either individual or family. The only way you will be able to keep unlimited data is if you pay in full for your phone, no contract/subsidized. That's why I'm hoping the G3 comes out before the new data plan take affect. It will give me two more yrs of unlimited data before have to pay full retail after that or get my phones from ebay or CL.

I pre-ordered the S3 this morning and my "Order Confirmation" says "EMAIL & WEB UNLIMITED $29.99".

The last time I spoke to a VZN rep they said for now that if you already have a 4G phone you get to keep your unlimited when you upgrade (meaning subsidized) your phone to another 4G phone. At least this seems true for the time being.

Yes verizon did offer up unlimited data to those that had it already, and pre-ordered the galaxy sIII, that was my main reason for upgrading even though I was only a year into my contract.

I am due for an upgrade in November, so I'm going to wait to see what comes out at that time. I may just buy whatever phone it is at full price and keep my plan as it is without doing the contract thing. The SIII looks like a nice phone but I want to see what HTC brings to Verizon by then or I may just get one of the Nexus phones that'll come out by the end of the year. I hope one will work with Verizon.

Supposed to be getting my rezound today. Looked through the info and after a plenty of consideration of the pros and cons of both the rezound and the galaxy nexus, and reading many reviews, decided that the rezound would work better for me. Passing the t-bolt on to my mom so everyone on my plan stays grandfathered w/ the unlimited data.

The two parts that are the most relevant to people here are probably:
-You Can Keep Unlimited Data: Verizon told us a couple of weeks ago that you can keep your unlimited data plan even after they launch shared data and they weren’t lying. You can keep it, however, you will never be able to buy a subsidized/discounted phone again. If you want to keep your current plan, you will have to buy phones at full retail price.

-Galaxy SIII Pre-orders: Yes, you can pre-order the Galaxy SIII and keep your unlimited data plan. You need to do it before June 28 though, or you will be out of luck. Also, you may want to be careful pre-ordering through Best Buy, as their process is much different than Verizon’s.

I am thinking about getting the galaxy s3 as my last subsidized upgrade before verizon kills that off on June 27. In theory, how much better should the g3 be compared to the tbolt?

I'm going to best buy to take advantage of that $50 gift card for upgrades in 2012. Going to grab the nexus or the maxx this weekend; if the s3 ends up being really good then I will just change to it within my 30 day window.

I actually bought my thunderbolt through the classified section on these forums and have really liked it. Although lately it has been acting up and thats ticking me off. I just use this an excuse to my wife that I need a new phone

If I get word that the Wifi Tether is as flawless as its been on mine and my girlfriend's thunderbolts, I would consider. Although, now I would have to buy it second hand as to not lose my unlimited data plan.
