Seidio and Case-Mate discussions for the HTC EVO 4G LTE

I ordered the Barely There but returned it, it's actually pretty thin but the form just didn't do it for me. For a minimal case with gription I highly recommend the Diztronic TPU cases, I love mine!

Do you have pics of the Diztronic?

<<edit>> never mind, I just saw the pics on their website. As odd as this may sound, I don't like how it has that lip that is higher than the screen....I know its there for protection in case you put it face down...but I'd still like to find one that's flush.

Several of you have expressed concerns about the Seidio cases; button covers mis-aligned, paint flaking, etc. I wanted one, but didn't want the problems. I called the company and they said all of the new ones are fine, so I ordered one.

It came two days ago and is just as good, or better, than their previous cases. No problem with the buttons. It would be impossible for the paint to chip since the color is molded in (I have the white one).

The holster clip is solid. Yes, if you pull up on it, the phone will fall out; but it doesn't do so on its own.

So if you like the looks, get it. It's fine. It also appears to be identical to the Platinum cases at Best Buy.

I like that about it because at work I do put it screen down on my desk and I don't have a screen protector on it yet. But I can understand how everyone doesn't like the same things I do :D

First of all, thanks for the info! Personal reviews are always helpful.

I do have a question about it falling out if you pull up on it. Am I correct in assuming you meant if you pull up on it without flipping the release tab it will fall out? My concern there would be that I need a holster I can wear at work and that will be able to handle getting bumped when I'm working around equipment without falling off the clip on it's own. A little clarification on that would be greatly appreciated. :)

I have the Seidio Surface case with its Combo holster, and if the phone is correctly seated in the holster, it is extremely difficult to remove the phone from the holster without pulling up on the clip. Trust me,the phone isn't going to just jump out of the holster.

I too have had a Seido case on my phones starting with the Hero to the EVO and now the LTEVO. I have loved each case and not had any problems. Until this case. I do not have the shutdown problem that some may have, but it is extremely difficult to press the volume and camera buttons. Will be contacting Seido to see what they say. I really like the case as it feels solid and is not bulky. I dropped my EVO a couple of times while it was in the case and had not one scratch or problem with the phone after. :)

I'm wondering if anyone has tried to sand off one edge of the opening for the kickstand on the Barely There case? I really love this case, but hate to think that I'd have to take the case off every time I want to use the kickstand.

I don't have any problem with mine but I don't see why you couldn't tale a fine file to it and chamfer it down to make it easier to get at. Love the case. Had one on og evo and never looked back

I was getting a little concerned that my 'barely there' casemate case was adding to the heating issue I've been experiencing while using Navigation so I made a little case "vent" mod. See what you think

Well, I broke down today and pulled out a nail file, and spent about 30 seconds filing the side, and now I have been able to pull the kickstand open with the case on. It is with my pinkie, mind you, but open it I could!

I love my Diztronic TPU case so I decided I wanted to get at least one other TPU case in a different color, and I found these on Amazon. It's a heck of a deal, as long as you don't mind the argyle pattern (I don't) - you get FOUR different colored TPU cases & a cheap screen protector - for less than the cost of the one Diztronic case I already had. My only regret is there's no pink one in the set :(. I got them Friday; the cutouts are exactly the same as on my Diztronic case, and now I can change cases any time I just want to change things up a little.

I dropped my phone at Target today... the feeling of panic as I released my grasp & realized it was going to miss falling into my purse & was headed toward the hard store floor... thankfully my TPU case protected it as it fell straight down & bounced on the bottom edge of the phone. No damage! :smokingsomb:

Does anyone know if a flip case like this exist for the HTC EVO 4G LTE? Thanks.

Samsung Galaxy Note Case Ultra Flip Series - Samsung - Cell Phones

I just noticed there were no responses to your question. I just googled to see if I could find something similar, Amazon has a Boxwave horizontal flip case that's "sort of" like the one you linked, but it's not nearly as low profile or sleek looking. My search didn't turn up any others with a horizontal flip but if you're not set on horizontal there were some others. Did you try emailing Spigen to see if they plan to release one for this phone?
