It looks like the guys over at all droid aren't having luck with the desire rom, its on a different network, GSM, its just not going well for the final touches, they may be completely moving over to the incredible rom, come be doing it from scrap, day 1, no reusing. so I am excited for this now. Sense UI on Droid may still be possible.

Where did you find this news? I'm checking out Greeks' thread, but don't see it. And how have they already gotten the Incredible leak already? Sense looks really slick, I'm curious to see how it'll look on the Droid. And, if the N1 is indeed coming to CDMA with Sense, I wonder how much different it'll be from the Incredible's ROM.

Edit: okay reread your post (now that I'm on my second cup of coffee) and realized you said they MAY be moving. I assume this is once the Incredible is released?

No they have the leak of the incredible dump... haha incredible dump! but they have it, another member of another forum had it and gave it to them. the info is on the forum in places and its also on wave, thats where i got most my info. it says in the geekturn update thread but its like 40 pages in. greek or geek mentions how they are moving onto something INCREDIBLE, eh maybe it was birdman that said that?

its more discussed in the wave. so go find it in the wave

In your search bar (just to the right of the "New wave" button above the "inbox"), type (without quotes): "with: public and tag:ZEUSDROID and tag:ALLDROID" and press enter.

For the record, he said that they were "moving on to something incredible for phone support" or something like that, which I take to mean that they are going to use parts of the incredible Rom to fix the remaining phone issues on the desire ROM, not that they were scrapping the work they have done so far. Anyway, we'll see what happens, but it sounds like you have taken his comment out of context.

well i have been following this on wave and what not, and from what i can tell, yeah they are starting over. infact, i spoke with geek on gchat and he was mentioning how they likely will. its too tough to just take the parts of the rom and fix stuff, they are still too different.

they were, but the radios just don't match up, I guess they are continuing on with both for another week or so... but odds are that the desire is dead unless people over at XDA can help, which they might. I guess there was a sense ui port done to a win mo phone or something along those lines and so they are going to talk to the guy who did that and see what he did to make the radios compatible etc.

but i am excited for incredible dump, its a clean dump they said the prob with desire is that it was a port of a port, so it is hard to break down and make it work well

sorry for double post but there was an update today! the desire rom is still going i guess, they figured out some stuff by way of some guys at XDA and one of the dudes who helped with the nexus version of it. so its going forward and should be making calls soon.

The rom should get released as a WHOLE PACKAGE, not in pieces via an alpha, or a preview mode, but a full blown rom that works :) i am pretty excited. go check out alldroid for more info and updates, this is great news.
