OK guys here's the deal... I've been searching for all of the best mods I can add to my rom... and the one that stood out to me was a power control widget inside the status bar... It would be more of a DIY project for me as there are no tutorials for it... this would be all me and my nubbish coding skills... what do you guys think?

Well then lets get this train rolling :p i have the file on my phone im going to break it open and see if i can work my magic i suggest you do the same and if i make a breakthrough one thing you need to do is in system/etc/customize add a widget.txt file with some toggles that you want

OK... I was going to decompile a few files from ctmod for the marquee and prevail and see if I can get a sort of "template" to go off of

Sounds like a plan :D let me know how it goes

hey you two, I spent four hours today messing with a couple threads on xda trying to get one together, ct mod would be my next best bet... I think our gingerbread doesn't have all the hooks baked into it and I am not a developer for smali files, which is where I got hung up today... I may just add an app for it for now until I get a change to come back around to it, there are a couple good ones out there that are actually close to what we want, just not baked in like the mod would be... I kinda want to wait to see what this update is, if it's 2.3.6 we will be scrambling to deodex again, make sure our root is good and do a lot of updating to our ROMs, the built in notification gets into a lot of jars and apks depending on what one you are looking at, all of which would need to be redone if we get a software update.

not saying don't do it though, I think I could get there but it would take me a lot longer than someone more comfortable getting up to their elbows in the code... my head was swimming with keys and smali files and lots of trial and error, had to take a break. best of luck!

I just talked to Blooddawn and he said that his rom was built off of stock gingerbread so its entirely possible... after staring at his code all day we need to figure out how to edit the smali files correctly... I easily edited all the XML files but smali coding is confusing as hell to me so I'm at a stand still... Im going to update my rom to beta 3 and after I release it ill put all of my efforts into this... before the summer is over I am determined to figure this out

The next beta will include more build.prop tweaks... the removal of galleryics (its not even in the market anymore), a slightly lower dpi to make the UI look more streamlined, more system tweaks, and a customized splash screen... if all goes well I will have it publicly released later tonight:D:D:D
Edit: I have also decided to include both the xperia launcher and holo launcher as both are extremely light weight... (1.4mb combined)

Only the one issue when trying to cha ge the wallpaper icsgallery force closes, but if you open icsgallery and select a picture then set it, it works fine just not when you gk to wallpaper option on the homescreen

This is an app issue I believe because it happens in every single rom I've run with go launcher. Or it's the go launcher problem. Truly feel it's not the rom.

I know the sticky problem all too well testing ROM's! Arggggggggh Stupid keyboard NOT sticking was the problem I kept having. You select the keyboard then the checkmark goes away.

Don't worry... I fixed it... it was the kernel I was using... so far everything but the stock kernel gives me problems...

I have plenty of knowledge in Java to add most features you would like in android. Like power control widget in status bar.

And I'd be willing to work on this because my best friend has the warp.

If you'd like help then just pm me
