Speaking of the temperature. Try working in two pants, welding jacket and gloves while using a torch or welding in, at times, tight spaces. The past two days have been horrible!

I tried putting my husband's turnout gear on once...in a normal temperature room...and almost passed out from the heat. I can't imagine how you people who work in those conditions do it.

It took a long time for me to realize that things like that only make me stronger. I was pretty miserable at the time, but I think I became a better person because of it.

That's quite a painful story to read, let alone LIVE. I'm glad you've been able to reflect on it as a character building experience that made you who you are today.

Typing on the note is horrible, at one point the cursor went back up to the previous line and a couple words back and started a new word. I had to erase a line a couple times for some reason. Perhaps a new keyboard or the ICS OTA will fix this. Call quality was pretty good, better then the nexus. I was told I sounded like a person. Was easy to hear and there was very little noise.

There seems to be a bit of a dead spot in my area, but I heard there was a problem with a tower next to me so.

I have this problem with my Galaxy Tab 10.1. If you find something that fixes it, let me know. I've tried different keyboards.

So my phone is not playing nice right now. Have been trying to make a call for the past 30 minutes, and the call ends within 5 seconds of me initiating it every time. Also I just shutdown the phone to see if a restart will help, and it took 4 tries for it to finally respond to me holding down the power button to turn on.

Also I have noticed 3G-4G hand-off is abysmal since I upgraded to the full IMM76K ROM, even though before I had the radios with the IMM30B ROM and it seemed fine. And it seems like the data connection hangs up, I have to back up and reload, to get web pages, and topics on tapatalk to load quite often.

Anti , your description sounds identical to what I have been dealing with on my phone since I switched from the leaked 4.04 IMM30B with the leaked radios. I never had a data problem before and had flawless handoffs. Now, data stops, goes grey, hand offs stink and I had difficulty making a call and had the one way audio happen. I am thinking about going back to the leaked radios from a couple of months ago. Any one else having issues like this since going to the FC04 FC05 radios?

I sent the SwiftKey Beta 3 (?) to my friend who has a Note (also on a beta ICS ROM). She loves it and hasn't said anything about the lag. I remember the 10.1, when I had it, had horrible typing lag. I've certainly give alternate keyboards a shot (Dawn).

I don't know how I keep missing these things, but Happy Belated Birthday jmar!

Thanks everyone for allowing me to be able to share those kinds of things here. I appreciate all of the feedback. I realized after I typed it, it brought up a lot of emotions I haven't felt in a long time. It's nice to have a place to be able to do that. Sorry that some of my posts are long; I always edit them before pressing Submit and try not to ramble on. I don't want to ever come across as, "Oh jeez, here's another long-ass post by Lucky Armpit" so please let me know before that happens.

As far as my Nexus is concerned, I think it's going back to Verizon. The Razr Maxx has been great so far with impressive battery life and the clearest phone calls I've had in a long time. I'll make a final decision this weekend. If I do send it back to Verizon, I hope they put it in a shredder and destroyed, only so someone else doesn't get it as a "Certified Like-New Replacement".

Feeling good this morning. Working the early shift but it will be cut short as I am interviewing for a promotion!

Gotta be thankful for my 50+ hr weeks! Right with you Anti!

Anyway, been given some leniency from Steven (ducks the noodle) around my guidely practice and am grateful for that. This weekend should be filled with practice, mistakes and hopefully no noodles!

So I drive home with all the windows down and a/c on. Also, instant headache. Yesterday I get in to go to work and the smell is still there but not as bad. I look all over and still can't see what it could be. I then feel a wet spot on the carpet. Right by is an unopened bottle of chocolate milk that I bought on Sunday. That high temps the past few days caused the cap to loosen and some of it leaked out. Now I need to find something to get rid of the smell.

When I was a teenager I worked with some carpet installers and this is what they recommended. Warm water with dishsoap (that will separate the oily food substance from the carpet fibers) and get it good and wet. Here is the important part. Press firmly with paper towels or a rag to absorb the moisture, do not scrub as this simply spreads the stain. When I get a stain in my carpets at home this is what I do. I usually use paper towels and then step on them with my heel until the moisture doesn't soak through.

I've heard this before too. My cousin's husband is a carpet cleaner and they also say to put a piece of white bread in a shallow container and then pour white vinegar into the container to come even with the top of the bread. Leave overnight. The vinegar deodorizes and the bread absorbs the smells.

As a pet owner, we have secret remedies. Get a bottle of Nature's Miracle. Just apply and dab up with a paper towel. Smell and stain gone. If it works with dog puke and worse, it will handle old milk.
