Pretty annoying.

BTW, the One X has an overflow button (3 dots) because it doesn't have a menu button. The 3 dot bar gets turned off with a change to one line of system configuration file. Pretty sure that they will know to turn it off for the 3vo.

I have the EVO LTE and my 3vo. I like ICS, I do not like Sense 4. Anyone concerned about missing the "lightweight" new Sense, don't worry. It's not light and it's nothing to write home about. I've dumped most of it, and if I haven't been a hard core Sense fan, I'd do until one came along, if that tells you anything. If you want a good Sense clock replacement widget, check out the ones by Droid27 in the store, put that with Sense 3.6, and you're missing out on nothing in Sense 4, in my opinion.

And if you want a good ICS launcher when you finally get the update, go for the Nova launcher, it's superb.

Meanwhile, back to waiting for the official release.

I read somewhere (maybe even on here) that it's expected that Sprint will hold off until sales on the new ICS phones start to decline so the 3D update doesn't effect people's willingness to buy newer phones.

Not sure how true that is though

They've never done that before, makes no sense. The new phones are LTE in addition to ICS, with no reason to expect a sales decline anytime soon.

Oh, it's definitely true. I just called Sprint today to complain about the Sense crashes and memory leaks I've had on 2.3.4 for the past few months (and seemingly backed up by other reports of similar issues), and the response I got was to go into a Sprint store to get the phone upgraded to ICS. Which told me two things:
1. Sprint has ICS in its system, all ready to go, but
2. Sprint is refusing to release it for $ome $tupid rea$on.

We can all speculate on when the release will be, bottom line, do yourself a favor and simply root like others have mention, I have been on ICS for over a month and I love it and do not have to wait, the only issue, is not that we have ICS is that now we want more, LOL

Sprint nor HTC have ever been forthcoming with their releases, and they are not the only ones, I usually go by the saying when it is release it will be released and this way your expectations are not overwhelmed. You will get the ICS update sooner or later. ROOT ROOT and get it now and put your release date into your own hands, JMO :smokingsomb:;)

Ah, what a tease! I saw ICS available then to only eventually read that not for Sprint users yet, Tease! lol

seriously. I went to my phone to try it before reading it all. Damn you sprint. Nothing is worse than hearing "a couple more weeks" either, cause it's been like that for months.

Sprint rep in April "you will def have it by the end of april"
