Notification LED & battery warning tone

Hi all,

Getting into android ownership after years of Nokia, and loving it.

Is it possible though, that the LED or track ball can be made to blink so I know the phone's still on and not died? Blinks away fine when battery is low.


Also, is it possible to have an audible alert to critical battery?

The phone beeps at 15, 10 and 5 percent battery

Not sure about the LED thing though.

The LED also blinks orange once it's at or below 15% battery.

Nope.

It will only beep exactly on 15, 10 and 5%, so maybe you're missing it then. Just had a quick look through settings and I can't find a toggle to switch the sound on or off.

Just wondered if there was an app to do it, and one that could flash that LED so I know the phone's still alive (flash the green LED would be nice).

Well, it's a bit of a work around but yeah you can do it

There's an app called tasker that was posted here a while ago.

You can make it, every X minutes, create a new notification which starts the LED flashing. You can control how often the notification occurs and how many LED flashes come with each.

You can also pick between the green/amber LEDs.

But something worth bearing in mind is that at the moment the app's a free beta, but it will be a paid app eventually.

I have just started using Battery Alarm from YellowDogApps, seems to work well and so far is not draing the battery.
