[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

post some screenshots of it, anything that is different from ICS, cause right now it just looks like ICS with a few more speed enhancments

Gotta be kidding me, dude! :p

Did you miss the Keynote? This is just as big, if not bigger, than when ICS was released. A lot of under the hood and software improvements, Google Now, new camera app, better voice recognition, etc.

I'm a little disappointed, or maybe I'm misunderstanding how the Google Now functionality works. I just went to Sheetz for lunch (for those not in the area, a gas station/convenience store/sandwich shop in PA). I sort of expected my phone to recognize that I was there and launch some card telling me about the menu or whatever. I got nuttin. I even went to the main Now page and hit refresh. I just have the "Cards show up here when you need them" card and my weather card.

Edit: I just checked settings and "Nearby Places" was off. DOH!

Alright, got 2.1 downloaded, rewiping the phone, and then its showtime :D.

JB - thats alright, laugh at me if you want... You are about to be seriously sleep deprived... ;)

I know! And it might even be a little sooner than 1st thought (July 26th) She's now on bed-rest  but at least I got some Jelly to play with at the hospital when it's time! :p

I and many others feel the same way as VoidedSaint does. Like Voided said, "Visually" it looks just like ICS. Yeah they added some new software features but I personally think most of the upgrades are behind the scene upgrades for performance and efficiency, which i think needed it.

I think Voided is asking for screenshots that may show if any settings have changed compared to iCS. Like when you scroll through settings on the phone if you notice anything different within those posting a screenshot would help some of us understand it better.

Also some screen shots of the camera app in the ways the UI may have changed is interesting to me. Thanks :)

For those thinking of trying this...this isn't just a test rom that is incomplete and glitchy. It's the best software I've put on the GN hands down. If you want to see screen shots I'll be glad to post some later, but in the meantime do a search as there are a plethora of ss's and videos pouring in about JB every second.

Going to flash this shortly. What kernel are you running? Ive been on Trinity, but will flash something else in case that does not work with this rom.

Thanks man.

Visually it isn't different than ICS. I'm still trying to figure out everything that's new myself, but you can FEEL the difference. Project Butter was a success. Transitions, animations, and performance are butter smooth.

Wow really? I think, in the details, it's very different visually. Different transitions, different fonts (not throughout as Roboto is still abundant), different pull down, different lockscreen graphics, different wallpapers (cool btw :)), different apps, live walls run great FINALLY!, new gestures (hold your home button), new navbar softkey that points downward, I can go on :D
