Help Xperia Arc S loses gallery photos

An Xperia Arc S has today, and never before, shown unreliable tendencies when it comes to store taken photos to the gallery.

One photo was not stored in the gallery at all. It does not matter if the phone is restarted.

Some photos shows up in the gallery after the phone has been restarted, but not before.

The gallery is not taking longer than usual to start up.

Also, after one of the restarts, where the battery was taken out, the phones flash lit up and stayed on until the flashlight application was turned off.

Any ideas what to do?

i had experienced this before and it turns out my sdcard was defective. i installed a 32G card. were you using another sdcard and NOT the factory 8G card? if so, pop the factory 8G card back and see if you still experience the missing photo. of course, this is just a process of elimination.

The images are stored on the SD card so try replacing that first. Also can you access the photos by connecting your SD card or phone direct to a computer? They are normally stored DCIM directory on the SD card.

If you still have the problem after replacing the card than it could be an issue with hardware and you will need to speak to tech support.

Not sure about the flash light though. Is this installed on the SD card? Could be related if it is. If not, replace the app with another one and see what happens. I use this one.

I am having same problem with Sony Xperia Arc S. Any picture captured through this device is ok for few minutes and then this picture is not accessible through any software. even thumbnail is not available. also, SD card gives error that it is not accessible for pictures only. no issue with music.

SD card is original provided by manufacturer.
