Root Correct Metamorph procedure for 2.1?

I have read around a bit but I am kinda confused between different phones/versions using metamorph.

Last time I tried it and restarted I got stuck in a bootloop =P. I made a COMPLETE backup so going to give it a try shortly.

As I understand, I download metamorph from the market, move my themes into my sdcard metamorph folder, then basically run metamorph. I think BB.9 has busybox already taken care of.

I don't need to clear/wipe anything or whatnot for this to work correct, right?

Your themes actually go into the "AndroidThemes" folder. I don't know if it was always supposed to work this way, but as of the last update to MM, it now prompts you to reboot when it is done installing. I've been editing my own framework-res.apk for quite a while now, but it never works on another phone, even one with the same ROM. I started using MM and themes as a way to make quick work of it instead, and it has worked perfectly so far.

Well, after looking around I think I am going to give it some time. I don't mind the stock theme, and I am going to focus on tweaking a couple other odds and ends.

...Stupid power conversion homework... can't people see I have better things to do with my time like play with my phone???

Does anyone know how I can modify smoked glass so the app drawer has the word droid in the droid font kinda like in the ultimate droid rom? That's the only thing I want nothing else in smoked glass to be changed.

Metamorph is hit or miss for me. But I'm using "Flavored Ice" at the moment. Its off the chain!

Works excellent with BB 0.9 using metamorph. There's Also a dark version, and Its a deep theme too, Ice runs everywhere.

Looks nice. When I moved BB.9 on, a helix2.1 is on my card... That is the correct version - not the nexus1 version, correct?

Figured I'd give it a go... just tired of removing all my icons and widgets =P

EDIT: after I posted I looked around and decided to go with HelixLauncher(1). Performance seemed a bit better and more stable. So far... wow. Incredible =). Really great. Going to play with themes sometime soon.

I've been wanting the same smoked glass app drawer too with the word "Droid" on it but not sure if it's compatible with Smoked Glass V6.0.

Can anyone help with getting this launcher to work for SGV6 or the launcher in the pic?

you can use any mm theme that is designated for ese53 on the droid.
