Desire is on T Mobile website

You should get the one you pre-ordered from T-Mobile by Friday mate :)

Wish I could have mine noooooow :( hate having to wait to upgrade!

I'm pretty sure that when I spoke to them yesterday they said ordering today would give delivery by next Wednesday . I'm not sure which is correct since they also said I'd receive next day delivery if I ordered on Friday , so don't quote me on this - but I wouldn't hold out for this Friday , probably Sat at the earliest.

Could anyone say why the contracts are more expensive direct from t-mob , compared to say through MPD , where it's

Just had an email back from T-Mobile...
Dear Customer

Thanks for placing an order online for the HTC Desire

We’re sorry for the hold up with your order but at the moment this phone is out of stock. We are expecting a delivery very soon and we will let you know via e-mail as soon as your new phone has been dispatched including details of when the phone will arrive.

Will have to wait a bit longer.

Hmm...
It doesn't say anything on the website about how long it will take to get the Desire, but X10 says "please allow 10 days for delivery".

It says please allow up to 7 days for delivery when you go through to the purchase page.
I'm really banging my head what to do now. Order with T Mob and get it next week or wait and buy sim free to stay on 3 at

I was thinking of getting it direct from T-Mobile as if you go through the prices... you can save some money :D

Yeah after some heavy searching on the T-mobile website I've found the perfect plan for me :) and it works out pretty well. Now if I do get the phone I at least know what plan/where to get it from

I have already contacted MPD about the above deal and they told me there's no charge for exceeding the unlimited internet deal , which seems to suggest there isn't a 1gb limit ? I could be wrong but it seems right ?

T-mobile don't charge for exceeding the unlimited internet, instead they may "restrict your plan". Here's an edited snippet from their site:

Pay monthly plans which include internet on your phone on an Android phone
*Internet on your phone comes with a fair use policy of 3GB a month. We'll monitor how much you send and receive each calendar month so that we can protect our network for all our internet on your customers. If you use more than your fair use policy amount, we won't charge you any more, but we may restrict how you can use your plan, depending on how often you go over your amount and by how much.

That sounds good.

I thought I had read somewhere that you only get the 3GB limit direct from TMob, could well be wrong though, sounds like I am.

Not sure I would even use 1GB let alone 3GB anyway as I tend to use my unlimited wi-fi at home anywhoo.

Whatever the MPD deal seems to be getting better if you can wait a bit...

Still want to see what the other networks do and see if I can wangle something out of O2... ;)

Did you order on phone?
Is this what they told you?

Are they all being sent out Friday for delivery Saturday?

I ordered over the phone. Set up the direct debit and all the other stuff.
I then asked if it was available in silver she went and asked came back and said it was a taupe? Colour and no silver. She then confirmed the order and told me she would have it sent first thing Friday and will ring my on Friday evening to confirm dispach as Im at work till 5 and can't take phones into work
