What exactly is Apple expecting to happen if they do succeed 100% in court? Samsung to not have a rival phone? People to buy Apple product that prefer Android? Maybe they're hoping for royalties to be paid out on ever Android phone sold?

I just feel this entire patent war that's going on in the mobile electronics world is counter productive and greedy.

I don't think so just yet. As the specifics haven't been announced. Even the announcement that the Judge went in Apple's favor wasn't official. I really don't know what this means honestly. Like if they were to Ban the G Nex....what about all of us that already have one?

An injunction would ban sales. It wouldn't affect anybody that already bought one.

They need to spend less time in the court room & more time getting the iPhone & iOS up to standards. 90% of my friends/co-workers have iPhones & after the recent iOS accountment they are anything but pleased. They know Android is starting to take over & they don't know what else to do.

I thought the injunction banned the importation not sales and distributors were allowed to sell their remaining inventory.

I called the customer service number from the Google Play Store. The lady said my order would still be shipped and arrive Tuesday. So, I assume current orders will not be affected.

Too late crapple. I have my Galaxy Nexus and loving every minute of it. Plus, you won't stop us from getting any future Nexus devices. I really think this is the calm before the storm. Google has something nuclear in store for crapple.

Maybe my Nexus's value on ebay will skyrocket now when I sell it after my Galaxy S3 arrives. Glad they didn't get to add the S3 to the Nexus case.

Yes, but no patent has been approved yet. So I'll say it again: when they patent it. Not when they apply for a patent. Of course, I hope it gets approved so Google can ban all future iphones.

Here's where Google would have the advantage. They only need to get one phone banned, not hundreds of different phones.

Apple seems to have better luck getting these little patents granted in a more timely manner. Meanwhile Apple is soon to release it's 5-6 device with the pull down.

What about antitrust with the whole browser Java limitations for all web browser apps minus (of course) Safari Apple is pulling. And the inability to set a default browser on an iOS device. BS.

Ultimately Apple looks petty and scared. They limit the user experience (again and again) and get a pass generally.

Since playing with JB I can't stand my iPad 2!

This is just a delaying tactic by Apple. It is very ineffective at stopping Android, and will continue to only nibble at the edges of Android's expansion in the market. Jelly Bean is HUGE, based on my few days of experience... I am not worried about Apple, just annoyed.

Will the ban for selling the Galaxy Nexus stop us from getting Jelly Bean or any thing beyons Jelly Bean? Why would google update a phone they cannot sell anymore.
