Hey all,
Ive tried searching but nothing came up for this. I made a folder on the root for ringtones so I could get my personal ringtones selected for phone ringtone.

Now the issue is how do I get some of those ringtones to come up for notifications like mail or sms?

Thanks in advance.

in each app(messing main screen, email main screen), select 'Menu' then choose 'Notification Ringtone' and choose the file from there.

Yeah, I get that. The problem is I only get options for the standard ringtones that were shipped with the phone. How do I get my personal ringtones to be an option for notifications from the SD card like I can for phone ringer?

i assume you've setup folder structure to hold your ringtones. i set mine up on my SD card as follows:

audio
|-alarms
|-notifications
|-ringtones

the only way i've gotten around this is the brute force approach: copy the ringtones in the alarms, notifications & ringtone folders. after copying the ringtones, i rebooted and they appear for alarms, notifications and ringtones. hope this helps!

Perfectly what I was looking for. Didn't realize I had to make a notifications folder also. Big thanks!
