Hey guys, first-time poster here. After years of the Fruit Company's madness, I finally made the change.

After my iPhone tried to kill me, I started doing my research to find the perfect Android. I pondered waiting +- a week or 2 for the S3, but after seeing all the Notes upgraded to the leaked 4.04, I went with the Note. Seeing is believing... After years with the iPhone, this thing is MONSTEROUS!!! Luckily, I am a big guy with big hands, so its really not a problem for me...I can actually hold the phone and text at the same time with just one hand. It is a slippery little bastard though.

Love the ceramic white look. Within hours of the Note's arrival, it had been rooted, upgraded to ICS, and installed with OnlyOne's HYPR 3S rom. Works great by the way...Full S-Pen functionality, S-Voice, Flipbook, and the awesome S3 theme with interactive wallpapers. If you haven't tried it yet...DO IT!!

I already REALLY appreciate this site. It really helped make my decision, and made upgrading and modding a breeze. Keep up the good work guys!!

See Y'all Around!!

Can you please list the link you used for 4.0.4 I am using 4.0.3 also when I did this I pretty much had to reinstall all of my apps and set the phone.
Up like it was brand new, is this the norm. I don't know anything about rooting and I don't think I did that and would prefer not too. My update did not come with the premium spen suite which I want and seems to be in the
4.0.4 upgrade can someone send me a good link to use and explain to me step by step, thanks in advance.

So if I upgrade to the onlyone rom that is 4.0.4, Willy's wipe my phone? I already have 4.0.3. I don't want to have to reinstall all my apps and everthing. Also does this rom have the premium suite for spen and any bugs? Thanks again

Yes it will wipe everything (you install CWM and root, then do a backup, always do a backup, then wipre/factory_reset, then flash). Just use titanium backup to backup your user apps (don't backup and resetor systems or system apps).

There is only one bug is that the screen rotates all the way around, so you can have it upside down when unlocking, and something with the widgets, but there is a simple fix.

And yes it has the Memo, S Memo and S Note (Premium suite apps), I don;t know if there are others.

There are a lot of users that agree that this is the best ICS rom out there and I agree

Do you have the link to where I can download this rom also what is cwm rom where do I get titanium at. Am I backing my information up using this memory card or on my. Cpu

The link to the rom is a few posts up; but you need to do a few things first.

To flash a rom, you need to root and flash CWM (clockwork mod); it allows you to backup your phone's system incase something goes bad and flash that rom. PLEASE NOTE that doing this voids your warranty and moves the flash counter; it can be undone but you need to know.

This can be found here at the bottom of the page:
Galaxy Note Root Guide | RootGalaxyNote.com

BUT this method flashes CWM and roots the phone at the same time:
How to Root AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717! [ICS][Gingerbread][Easiest Method] | RootGalaxyNote.com
For Galaxy Note SGH-i717 AT&T/Bell/Rogers/Telus

1. First, root your Galaxy Note.
2. Second, install ClockworkMod Recovery on your rooted Galaxy Note.
3. Third, Make a backup of your ROM in ClockworkMod Recovery. Then make a backup of your apps and SMS before installing a new ROM.
4. For installing ROM, see How to Install ROM on Galaxy Note SGH-i717.

Wow thanks, I'm kind of scared to even try all of that considering I already have 4.0.3 Do you think it's worth it or should I just wait till ATT release it. I Do appreciate all the info you provided to me

Flash or not to flash is something only you can decide to do, blah... blah... blah...

I personally love the OnlyOne rom, it just works and an update for it is just around the corner. When flashing and hacking (and yes flashing is a form of hacking) there is always a chance something could go wrong, but on the note it is VARY RARE and because someone did something really stupid. I have been flashing since I have my AT&T tilt, but stopped with my Atirx so I was set that I'm not going to flash; that went out the window. And so far I have flashed 4 different roms, even flashed the latest ICS leak; it is always nerve racking watching the flash process, so I recommend not looking. Start the flash then walk away for 10 minutes :) And if something does go wonky, just boot into recovery (CWM) and restore a recent backup and you will be running again.

Well no matter what Rom or leak I try, I always go back to OnlyOne

If you do flash and have questions, feel free to PM me, I'll be able to respond faster.

Can you also please please explain to me how I back up my phone before I attempt
To install 4.0.4 thanks again

I sent you a PM, but in case someone needs it here are all of my notes and links

AT&T Galaxy Note i717

ClockWorkMod & Root: Here and download these files here because the files on that page look hidden

Backup your Note once rooted: Here

Flash a rom:
#1 Nand backup in CWM if not already (Do not use Titanium backup across roms)
#2 In CWM "Whipe data/factory reset"
#3 install zip from sdcard
#4 select rom
#5 reboot and WAIT

Return to stock:
#1 Flash the stock rom then
#2 Flash CWM then
#3 Flash the counter reset (twice for good measure) then
#4Flash the stock recovery
