my marquee most times it gets very hot at the back where the memory card and the flash of the camera are .. when it gets very hot the battery start to discharge really fast .... if i plug the charger gets wors .twice i get message on the screen to remove the battery i put it in cool place. because was too hot ..iam using ctmod. 3.68+kernel Hyper 2.0 voltage control set Sio + ondemandx 120-1300.......anybody also have this problem?

i have been doing that for 2 days + next to air conn. too

You could have been defective battery too.

Any time your battery gets hot it will lose the charge quicker but it sounds like yours is getting extremely hot. If your are getting the over heating warning then you need to do something ASAP. Anyway that you can try another battery out? That's what I would do. If it still overheats even with a different battery then I would send it to LG and ask for a phone replacement.

I had that issue (and a few others) on the marquee that I just got replaced. The phone would get so hot that I couldn't hold on to it and then then the "warning message" would pop up. So far the new one hasn't had this issue yet (keeping fingers crossed) hahaha. Of course the old one I was running 3.6.5 w/unleashed 3.2.1 at 1300 and now with 3.6.8 & hyper 2.0 I haven't even needed to go higher than 1000 (stock settings)

Mine has overheated a couple of times, usually while running a tether but does not happen often I'm running 220-1100 and no probs with this so far and stock marquee blows without kernals. Or my opinion, the devs who worked on kernals Roms etc. Have made this marquee 2 to 3 timed as fast, less lag ,less freezing ,faster start up thanks to them I can live my everyday life without getting agrovated using my phone (1.5) kinda made me mad with the freezing, force close , but my opinion still twice as good as stock thank devs (the devs know they are) no need to point fingers

If I'm going to be tethering for a extended period, I've gotten in to the habit of placing my phone in front of a small fan. It helps out a lot. ;)

I have had the same problem in the past. I realized that the CPU would be maxed out to whatever the maximum speed I had set; could be 900, 1100, 1360, wouldn't matter. After some checking, I found that the Facebook (official) app was the culprit. It was causing my governor (didn't matter which governor) to not do it's job and would cause the CPU to stay at the maximum clock speed. I used a task killer and killed the FB app to test it, and voila! Not sure if this helps anyone, but FB needs to fix their app. What could be causing the app to do this?

I use Titanium Backup w/ the Pro Key to FREEZE Facebook when not in use. Saves a lot of the battery.:D

When you FREEZE Facebook while you are signed in... it saves you the trouble of signing back in when you DEFROST it. I don't know about you guys but signing in to Facebook can take a few minutes sometimes. These steps eliminate that. ;)

I think you're on to something. My wife's Marquee has been freezing and needs a battery pull. Everytime it's using Facebook. I thought it was the ROM or the overclock. But I'll have to try the Titanium Pro Freeze thing and see what happens.

I put my phone in the air conditioner vents of my window unit and it gets down to 70 degrees and my room is at a constant 85-90 degrees with the AC on.

I bet it runs good too when you do that. Just remember that putting phone directly I front of an a/c unit could cause condensation inside the phone. Not good.

Same thing happened to me. But when I turned the phone back on I noticed that my data was disabled in the settings I re-enabled it and rebooted and voila I had data back.

When you call boost customer service you have to insist they transfer you to advanced tech support and you will get somebody state side and not the teleprompt readers in India!!!

Also, did you try ##72786# yet?

-=Helpful? Hit Thanks=-

You could always change the prl manually and see if that works.

Just a heads up, you will need to flash Marky Beats in order for this method to work. No need use the hidden menu either. Just install the demo and follow the instructions minus the hidden menu instructions. If you have any questions about using it just send me a PM. I've used this method quite a few times. :D
