I originally bought the Evo 4g LTE knowing i was going to take it back to get the S3 when they had them in store... Well long story short I got the phone for 149$ because of a 50$ giftcare. When I took my Evo back to swap it out for the S3 i thought i was going to have to pay the 50$ difference since the giftcare deal was for the Evo..

I didnt so i essentially got the S3 for 149$... but I called to see if they had any 32gb's in and found out they did... is it worth swapping the phone back out? Im worried they might notice this price and charge me?

If you play games I would recommend larger than 16GB internal, unfortunately most large applications (mainly games) dump everything on the internal storage and space is used up very quickly.

Within days I was in a position where I'm removing games to make room for others, disappointed there's no way to force apps onto the external storage(/extsdcard).

But I guess they need reason to make us buy the versions with larger internal storage, if you don't game much than 16GB is more than enough with an external card for music, video, photos etc..

why can't you put the games on the sd card?

Can you move those GameLoft games to SD? I.e. I have 3-4 of them and they are all about 500mb each and one is like 700mb for a single game. I haven't run out of room on my DX, but not sure where the files are, SD or internal. If it's internal, I'm probably low on space. I got the 32gb on order just incase.

Really.....then what can you put on sd card
Basically the external sd card is for any media you personally put on the phone, i.e music, photos and video. Anything that the phone transfers for you(automatically) like -apps to sd-, games, and data, it puts on the 16/32gb internal memory. No idea why the phone automatically stores camera photos/videos on the external sd and nothing else but hey...

With gingerbread many applications did install to the external storage on the Galaxy S2, but not the larger games like stuff from gameloft.

If I remember correctly you could move the apk install from the market which is usually around 10-20MB to the external sd card but the actual data it downloads cannot be moved and this was a problem. Now on the Galaxy S3 with ICS you can't move anything.

They've gone backwards.
