Root A Pure glass theme. No smoke. ??

All i want is a pure glass theme, no smoke, nada. a lil notification line, thats all . I want the full effect of the wallpapers that I put on my Droid. Is that so much to ask? If I could do it, I would. Thanks in advance..

Why couldn't you? Its actually VERY simple. Takes me less than 20 seconds to make transparent effects.

My, that does look nice. Is that applicable to Koushik's CM 5.0.4.x port to the DROID?

My biggest issue thus far has been finding a pure glass theme in general that had effects like I want them, but I now realize that icons have to be changed, and I am not a Photoshop person at all. I prefer a blue color using RGB values 158:180:255, but it is a PITA to get everything working right and I simply do not have hte skills to change the icon colors to match these values.

gimp. Just load the png file from framework-res.apk and slide the transparency bar to zero.

Heyo. Hijack question - what icon set are you using there Fade?

Glared icons - glass orb. The pack can be found in the market, and it is free. That is... if you are talking about the circle icons on the home screen. If you meant the status bar icons, it is kind of a frankenstein. Some are from Chevy's ROM, some are from the Buuf theme I found on xda-dev, and some are my own creation.

I've been getting into working with metamorph theme files recently, so I can whip something up for you guys. Just give me a bit... at the moment, I am neck deep in some problems of my own. lol.

Yes. I had it running on 5.0.4.1/2/3 and it is currently on 5.0.5.0/1

OK... I am not a pro themer, nor do I make any pretenses of being such. Earlier today was my very first ever attempt at making a theme from scratch. It worked perfectly for me. However, if it doesn't work for you, the most I can tell you is "oops" or "wow, that sucks.". If I am ambitious enough, I might even try again. Hopefully it will work for you, though.

If you don't already have Metamorph, download it from Market. There are many threads about how to use it, so I won't bother with a how-to here.

Should this theme work as intended, it will do the following:

Fully transparent Statusbar
Fully transparent tabs for unlock jog
Semi transparent power widget


It will not include anything else you see here. I have not asked for permission to use the work of others, nor do I plan to. I've seen what happens when people try to better the community by trying to improve the work of others around various forums, and it just isn't a world I care to slip into. If you choose to figure out how to get them onto your phone yourself, I will tell you this: It is VERY easy. Just do some google searching for how to create metamorph themes from scratch. There are a few youtube videos and several threads on forums such as xda-developers which will walk you through it.

In the meantime... I hope this helped. If so, enjoy. If not... oops. lol.

Just make sure you pay extra close attention to the requirements (ADB/Java) so you dont get stressed out trying to use it. And when it says Java, it means the real thing. not just a java plugin for your browser.

haha don't take my laughing the wrong way. Ive just been using 2.1 for so long that now when people ask me if something I am using is compatible with 2.1, I stare blankly for a moment before realizing why they are asking. That is why I laughed.

Worst thing that will happen with themes is that they won't work. You have nothing to lose but a few moments of your time.
