First of all sweet! 2nd I hope this is true. When you think about it the OS reporting 6GB is pretty much a go for 8 GB ROM. I mean if you think about it like this it all make since:

Memory manufacturers count 1 GB = 1000MB
The OS (Android, Windows, OS X) count 1 GB = 1024MB

So if we divide the manufactures 8 GB / 1024 MB we get about 7.8 GB of writable ROM
subtract about 1 GB for the data, OS, etc that the phone ships with and that puts you @ 6.8 GB which is really close to what we are seeing in the screenshot. If I had to guess I'm sure the tester has put some stuff on the phone to well test it. So what do you guys and gals think? Is it plausible we will have a device with 8GB of internal storage or are we still dreaming?

p.s. I mean with an 8MP camera you need somewhere to store all those hires pics and vids. I can now start to understand why crApple is in such a uproar about HTC's devices. BOOM! Oh yeah I'm back on the Incredible side now!

yeah i said it

So.....what do you guys think the odds are that we will actually hear what we've been waiting for tomorrow and not just info about the Supersonic and all the cool stuff that everyone but Verizon has to offer?

I"d bet the farm on it- I am so used to being screwed by verizon on these deals I almost expect it now

Edit: Against it...

I still holding to my guns that Verizon is going to be all about LTE and Skype. They always stated its the network and services, not the phones.

god i am ****ing nervous we won't hear anything tomorrow w/ this sprint announcement.

if the nexus one for vzw was available, i could at least STOMACH not hearing about the inc, but having neither and only having the droid and eris still available...i just don't know what i'll do.

All the others have made announcements about revealing their phones. Nothing from Verizon... just LTE and Skype.

just got a call from one of my sources and they stated that he got training today. He couldn't tell me what it was for but to pay attention tomorrow. I am hoping that he is being honest with me or he is playing a really mean joke.

He also received a package but his manager took it right away and locked it up.

I just spoke with someone at a GoWireless Verizon retailer, and to clarify this person has been very informative and has had reliable info in the past, he told me about the Droid about 1 month before those "Droid Does" commercials and he said with a wink, wink, nudge, nudge that it will not be released this month, but tax time should hold some surprises, other than a nice rebate.

Take what you will from it, but this guy has been reliable in the past.

I live in a small city with no Verizon-owned store, just one authorized retailer. On the day the Droid debuted everywhere, I went into that store. The guy behind the counter said he didn't have any Droids in and had no idea when he'd be getting any. From his attitude, the dopey look on his face and his lack of knowledge about the product, I wonder if he can even work a doorknob.

My sense is the authorized retailers are the last to know anything and VZW would much rather sell to us directly at their own store or online, making more for themselves.

Well, he didn't budge. At all.

Michael: What type of phone are you looking for?
Mark: I'm interested in the Droid, but while I was in my local VZW store one of the employees mentioned a new HTC device, but I don't see it online.
Mark: I believe he called it the HTC Incredible, but from what I can tell it hasn't been released. Have you heard anything about it yet?
Michael: I have not heard of that device.
Mark: Hmm, ok. He said it was the latest Android device, but wasn't sure when it'd be available.
Michael: He is mistaken. How may I assist you with the droid order.
Mark: Well, he did a good job of hyping this new HTC device as being better than the Droid, so I'm torn now.
Michael: The device is not here and he did not give you a date on it. Why are you torn?
Mark: He said it'd be much better than the Droid.
Mark: So if it is coming soon, I don't want to buy a device that will be "outdated", ya know?
Michael: That device is not available. How may I assist you with a device we have?
Michael: We do not have info on devices that are not on the website today sorry.
