Verizon Pre-order, Release date, and speculation thread

If Tuesday rolls round and Best Buy still doesn't have any news are you going to wait or go to Verizon to buy one?

I have $200 in BB reward bucks that I'm applying to the phone. Bah!

Mine sat all day at my local FedEx office. So frustrating. The scheduled delivery date is tomorrow, but when I saw that it was at my local FedEx office this morning, I thought maybe it would come today. When I checked the tracking later in the morning, it said something like. "Not scheduled for delivery" meaning it was two miles away just sitting... waiting until the scheduled delivery date - which is tomorrow. I called to see if I could pick it up, but no. I could have spent the evening tonight setting it up. Tomorrow I won't have much time. It will have to wait until the next time I have a couple of hours - Saturday afternoon!

Sorry - I just had to share. I know that you good people don't really need to hear about another person waiting for a phone!

That is a stupid policy, but I guess they want to follow Verizon's rules or lose the next contract to UPS or something.

I need to know how many of you have an order for which Verizon has missed the "Ship by" date on your confirmation?

What? None of you have a Ship By date that has come and gone? Really? By all the whining I one would think that VZ promised this phone to you yesterday.

I understand the "he got his but I ordered mine first" but really? I know most of you are professionals that understand that "things happen". BUt for the whiny kids out there, give me a break.

Would it be better if VZ sat on these all weekend and shipped them monday? Then what would you have to B**ch about?

If you call a Verizon rep and they tell you it's on schedule, like it shows on your order confirmation email (9th, 10th, or 11th) what do you want them to say?

Verizon and AT&T are not supporting the "Promotion" that Dropbox has for the S3. If you get your S3 from a carrier that supports the promo then you get 50gig of storage for Free for a year. If you get your S3 from Verizon you can still use Dropbox but you'll have to pay their subscription rate.

You should guess why Verizon opted out on the free dropbox gig.

Wow. I don't know about you, but when I don't get treated like I think I should from a business I no longer use them. I wouldn't stay with a company that I hated as much as you seem to indicate here..

I think you're free to change companies if you'd like. Last I checked this is still America

The Eagle has Landed! My 32GB Blue is sitting on the charger! I did the automatic activation and it worked fine and I still have unlimited data listed in my online account. Along with a very hot picture of an blue S3 as My Device.

Coming from an OG Inc, it is hard getting used to the power button being on the side.

Order mine on web 6/6 few minutes after 7:00am est. Card charged 7/3... VZW site says shipped on 7/3. FedEx says pickup up on 7/4 and left FedEx origin location on 7/4.

Only update since yesterday is FedEx updated tracking at 3:00am to say "shipment information sent to fedex"? I would think that they would need the shipping information before picking up the phone???

Oh well.... hopefully I get it Monday before I fly out.

What was the original 'Estimated delivery' from the FedEx tracking? It's directly under Ship date at the top of the form.

Where is yours shipping from ('Left FedEx origin' Location)?

The hub, MEM, was closed Tuesday night till Wednesday night, but it sounds like they had someone volunteer to work on July 4th to pickup and take back to the station.

Coming from an OG Inc, it is hard getting used to the power button being on the side.

My first Android, HTC Droid Eris, had the volume on the left side and I would hit it all the time. I was a little worried about that but then I remembered the Eris was half the size of the SIII.

My wife got her confirmation of shipping today around 10:30am and I received mine at 7pm. Hers is the 32gb white and I've got the 32gb Blue.....both will be here tomorrow!!!!! It shows that both have overnight shipping!!!! All I know is that if my wife got hers before me I was going to be a grumpy guy, but after the email at 7pm I'm stoked!!!
