Root ( Port ) Galaxy 1.6 on the Behold 2 Final

Wow.... someone with 2.1 already? well at least when we get it.. it would be stable.

B). Likely, It's very possible have 2.1 Ported.
c). He has Access to the Kernel Source & / Or is a avid linux User
D). The Likely Hood of it?

2.1, Um idk it's very possible & my Hats off to him,. Porting to something that has no Debugging Feature, well that's another story.

I was at the TMo store today to replace my wife's sim card. We got to talking about our phones (he has the MT3G), and in the process, I mentioned that you had this 1.6 thing in the works.

Well he proceeded to tell me that someone had come into the store the other day with a BH2 flashed with 2.1. He said the phone was essentially worthless in that it couldn't make calls or anything, but that it was still 2.1 according to the info in 'About Phone'.

Think it was made up? Or are there people out there getting close to this? I figured if anyone was able to do this, it'd be you, so that's why I ask.

the camera you got working, is it the stock one? or were u able to get Samsung's on there, also is vibration working, because if it is then why didn't it not work in galaxies 1.5, but it works in 1.6?

ok I just installed 1.6 to try it out, and wow I forgot all the awesome stuff I was missing out. Also this rom is blazing fast! I remember 1.6 from my G1

ok after messing around with it, I noticed a few other things, at least on my phone that wasn't working.
1)Market wouldn't connect (using WIFI)
2)SD card wasn't mounting

I would also like to add that 1.6 boots up seriously like twice as fast! I always hated how my brother in law could boot up his droid twice before mine even finished booting once!

I removed Picture for the Time being... But given it's a 2.6.29 Kernel it's just a Matter of time

Currently I'm merging the Kernel into the into the galaxy 1.6 build for us.... Just to give everyone a Head's Up... I still need for my Source to get back with me regarding the use of the kernel in other Rom's... If he says No, then, well no Builds based on 2.6.29 kernel until it's released..

No Problem... I'm not going to Release a 1.6 anytime soon till Samsung does...
Being the Fact I want to protect Root for us!

Reason being they Fixed what I was Doing to Hack the .27 kernel for Root..
I'm unable to Root the New Kernel at this time... But, I've only had a few Hours to play with it, so I don't know as of right now I can do it.

So if you are saying that you can not release 1.6 then this thread should be locked as for right now. Have you had a chance to look at the hero port yet? Maybe thats are last hope to something else that is better than what we have now!
