Only thing I don't like about it is no SD card slot. Tablets are great for media, but you need someplace to put the media. And I like the 7" size, it's a big and easy to read screen, but small enough that it's easy to carry around. I have a Nook Tablet, and it fits into a thigh pocket of my cargo shorts/pants if I need both hands available. If it had an SD card slot, I would be very tempted to replace my 6 month old Nook tablet with it, but without that, my vote goes from Great to It's OK.

I was looking at it heavily and the lack of an SD slot is a big downer for me. I too have a TF101 and while the screen is nice, the weight is a bit much for reading and holding for long periods (I read a lot of comic books on mine)

My mobile device only has a 3.5" screen, so going from the 10.1" down to the mobile is a bit much. I'd much rather the 7" of the nexus.

If it had the slot I'd be looking to sell my Transformer. If it was out when I got my Transformer, I would have gone with the 16gb version even without the SD card slot.

I have a Galaxy Tab 7+. I love the 7 in. form factor way more than the Transfomer (sold it and got the 7+). My biggest issue with the Nexus is the lack of an SD card slot...as most everyone else mentioned. I would get it with no problem if it had that. Still may get it but really have to wait for more reviews and comments about usability without the SD card. Specs look good to me though...really good.

The price and specs are great, but i hope for a version with a bigger screen. 7" just isn't a big enough jump from the screen of my phone. So, I wait...
Well r u interested in the 8.9" or 10" ? idk but I tried the ipad (which is 9.7"), and it is great for watching movies and stuff but too heavy to hold on... i never tried the 7" or 8.9" ... I think 7" is perfect for playing games, 10" is great for watching Movies. I guess personal preference.

I was going to buy it until i found out it doesnt have a Micro SD slot. My primary use of the tablet would be watching movies or videos in bed since my phone handles my music. I could only fit a movie or 2 on the internal storage. No use in having a device that you can load with media.

I owned a 8GB iPod, and i was struggling to fit the media i wanted on it. I was constantly re-syncing with iTunes, and ended up just using my laptop for most of my media.

I loved mine. I had it for 2 weeks and then a black line appeared across the screen. I got a replacement from Google and it had light bleed and a problem with screen separation. I really miss it and have been planning on trying another from Walmart.

Now with news from Samsung, I have to rethink that and maybe wait a little longer.

Or give up. Two bad devices tells me something: you either have incredibly bad luck, or QC hires the blind.

Try not to laugh but in the 7" tablet market, I think you get more bang for your buck with a blackberry Playbook . I know it got panned horribly at launch but it's actually pretty good now that they've fixed most of the most criticized issues.

CPU/GPU goes to the Nexus, but for the same price the PB has 32GB storage, still a respectable dual core CPU, 1080p video, a good camera and video recorder, front and rear cameras, outstanding speakers, HDMI out, and lastly the physical materials used to build it are better. The browser also outscores everything currently on the market on HTML5 benchmarks. QNX OS 2.0 while boring and not customizable, is very fast and fluid.

Drawback? The app selection is miles behind Android. However as it stands right now, it's not too bad for most "essential" apps depending on your definition of that. But as I said, dollar for dollar I didn't think the N7 gave the most value, so I was disappointed.
