Yeah, that could be it. The Verizon testman site is down right now still. So, they very well could be gearing up for availability tomorrow online and then in stores on the 27th. It COULD happen.

I'm thinking this more the longer the testman site is down. No matter what update they are doing it probably wouldn't take that long to implement. Now that it's been down for several hours now makes me think they are purposely keeping it offline.

Seriously, wasn't meant to be some drama nuke, just didn't want to come right out and disagree with the poster who tipped about the whole 512 ram + 512 rom (".86 Gb"). I've been told not to expect any more than 512 and that it doesn't matter because the thing is fast as $hit. That's it, no other hidden meaning. I was told to look for another surprise (good) unrelated to the specs (whatever that means)...this is why I didn't want to say anything because it's so vague and I should have just resisted temptation and kept my mouth shut. Either way, nothing but good news tomorrow.

Night, hope this helps some of you catch some Zzz's...

You jerk, now I can't sleep out of excitement. You'll never win. :D

Similar to Apple release, where it's flip a switch back on, and everythings good to go.

Yes Virginia, there is a santa clause.

I'm intrigued by this "surprise". Lets come up with some theories.

Cheaper then expected pricing, back cover available in multiple colors, Steve Job's announces defeat...

wish it would be cheaper than normal, but going to testman and then clicking on "shop or browse our selection of phones and plans" from the "page is unavailable screen" it takes you to a Droid page that has prices that are unusual. It is more expensive for new customers as opposed to upgrade customers. To me that signifies an even more expensive phone coming to the lineup, of which the Droid ends up being the more affordable device.

ok..nitey nite..... I feel comfortable going to bed now. I'm confident, because of ANON and MM's reports as well as some others, that tomorrow will be a great day. I'm also going to sleep because being over 50 I need my beauty sleep. ;)

nite kids!

Me too. I told myself I was going to make it to bed before midnight tonight but that didn't happen. Too much excitement happening. I know we will all be having ninja incredible dreams tonight.

So I am the new guy.. Definitely not new to technology (especially phones) I am currently a BB Tour user. Love the Berry but they (RIM/VZW) have angered me of late. I started researching Nexus One and stumbled upon this. I know testman is "down" however I have a question.. If you navigate through the down site and go to "contact us" there is a search box.. I have never tried it but if you put Nexus One in there, it routes you to the Google page. Has it always done this or is it new? Anyone know? I am stoked to get either, but would rather the Incredible be the one!

Sarcasm is a comedic tool and I wouldn't go as far to say that is crazy. That is no reason to shout profanities at me and make rude jokes about my father's relationship with my mother.

That was low. Real low. Now may I ask did you have a password problem with your previous login? Or was a profanity issue?

OK, listen to me very carefully. You guys are clogging up the thread with posts that have nothing to do with this phone. You're both ruining the mood in here, over nothing. We've given you guys warnings. Stop engaging each other or more the moderators will be alerted and much more drastic measures will be taken by the administrators. Just stop.

Problem is a lot of folks here would have you believe that this phone has been the best kept secret ever due to the fact that no one's provided any solid info. Verizon CSR rep's seem to have no clue about the phone or play dumb, sales clerks in the stores have no clue or play dumb as well, occasionally you'll come across a regional sales rep who claims to know of a new HTC phone coming, but can't elaborate on it. HTC sends sales reps in to select Verizon stores for training on a new HTC device on an odd day, yet no one seems to be able to provide any further details. We have posters here who supposedly have "insiders" at Verizon, but yet we've received very little in the way of concrete information because of fear of being discovered and possibly losing their jobs, which I understand completely and don't have a problem with.

It just seems like there's been one roadblock after another in an attempt to nail down the specs of this device, let alone the release date. Yet I, like you, would think that if this phone was even somewhat remotely known in the VZW universe or was in Verizon's system, surely someone out there would spill the beans to the point it became public knowledge, as someone in a company as big as Verizon's is bound to slip at some point.

In summation, this is either the best kept secret the industry has ever seen or else it's been a wild goose chase on the road to nowhere and we're no better off regarding the real status of this phone than we were six months ago when all the hub-bub began. I guess we'll either know more tomorrow or we won't.

One that I've learned over the years: You can never trust what a Salesperson tells you.

DAMN, you're fast!! Ok, Ok, I had just called my VZW friend and as soon as I posted what he told me, he called back and told me NOT to make anything public yet. So at the risk of getting him in hot water, I said OK. But like Anonimac said, "nothing but good news tomorrow!" :D

P.S. time's up!

Currently the N1 is available only in GSM for Tmobile or ATT in the states. The CDMA Verizon isn't out yet and has lower specs than the incredible It's also FAR harder to transfer CDMA phones to a different provider so really you would just be using the N1 with only verizon when it comes out.
