What has everyone found for the 2.1 roms. I know there is already a Themes thread but most of them are for 2.0.1

Im running BB v9 and a mix of Smokedglassframe 2.1 and Flavored Ice.

Here is what I have found so far.

Smoked Glass Frame

MM Smoked Glass Framework for 2.1 - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum

Flavored Ice

[Theme] Flavored Ice MetaMorph 2 Flavors

Here is how you can go back to stock

ERE25 (2.1 "official rom) Stock theme

and the Barfix is so you can see your clock. So you dont have to edit anything.

Nearly all themes work on nearly every build... 2.0, 2.0.1, or 2.1 alike. Themes are quite simple... the zip folder consists of various folders with different pngs inside them and one text file (extension of which is .thm) that tells MM where to install them.

I have even gone so far as to use a theme intended for 1.5 on my 2.1 ROMs, and have yet to find one it won't work with.

Well the reason I started this is cause I faced a boot loop with one MM theme that was for 2.0.1 and just wanted too see all that was out there. Its just a pain in the ass to have to restore everything or make a nandroid back up every time you use MM.

So if I already have the theme file for Smoked Glass, can I just apply this new Smoked Glass framework and then use the other file to apply to everything but the framework?

Smoked Glass (with the blue trim) is exactly the theme I've been wanting since moving to Cyanogen Mod 5.0.5.
NexDeep does a very damn good job, but there are little things that I am just not a fan of. Hell, I might mix and match the two themes. :)

But will the old theme package work for everything, just not the framework? IIRC, everyone has said the framework is the only problem with getting most 2.0.1 themes to work in 2.1. And then some 2.1 themes still have the framework problem in Cyanogen Mod since it's not based on the latest Droid-specific 2.1 builds, but rather 2.1 source.

I just want to say... I am running Cyanogen 5.0.5 with the MM BowerBar to compliment the stock 2.1 theme. It changes the Notification bar to the smoked glass version, and all the green highlights are changed to blue. Even the lock screen. I LOVE IT! I wanted smoked glass, but I like the stock theme more so this is just perfect. I got it here

Note the "THIS ONE IS FOR CYANOGEN MOD"

Okay, I don't know what the problem is here, but that Smoked Glass 2.1 Framework file? Completely just butchered my phone. It boots, but there is no notification bar, and basically everything is FCing. Everything.

I think applying that metamorph after applying a theme update.zip (NexDeep) definitely is not a good idea. I don't know why. But in this case, it is not. Ugh. To recovery I go.

edit:
Maybe it would help if I would download the right one. lol

new question:
Where do you change the Network identifier? Nexdeep permanently changed the "Network" to display as "NexDeep", and well, I want to change it back to Verizon. Or maybe some other name now that I see that it can be edited. Seeing "Verizon" in a few places was a little numbing, but to see "NexDeep" everywhere is just... irritating.

It is part of the banner.eri in your framework-res. Unless you are good with hex editing, I wouldn't touch it. There used to be some modified banner.eri files floating around over at alldroid, but I haven't seen them in a long time.

I tried to change the banner.eri in Notepad++ a couple of months back just to see what happened, and the outcome was absolutely no service.

My experience is that all of the subthemes for 2.0.1 work for 2.1 except framework-res. I ended up taking the framework-res from HexFusion (a 2.1 theme) and replacing the icons that were there in the notification bar with the ones I wanted. Then I took that folder and replaced the framework-res folder in the HexFusion Theme in the Android Themes directory of my SD card, then followed the instructions for installing the framework-res using MM, and it worked perfectly.
