You mean the single splash screen during boot and five bookmarks? ;)

This might help, although you'd need to root it again after flashing.

Instructions here on a user-friendly method. Do this on your newly-debranded handset and you should have what you're looking for.

Hi Slug thanks for the info.

I 'm following this>>

How to 'go generic' (or just completely revert your existing device)...

- Install the custom recovery image from here

- Do a nandroid backup to your SD card by booting into the recovery image (power on with 'Home' held down) and selecting 'nandroid backup' (HOW? WHEN I turn off my device then press power and home button togeather nothing happens?

Please help??

- Turn off your device
- Take the SD card out, and put it in your PC
- Copy the contents of this zip above to the /nandroid/HT*/ directory backup on the SD card (the HT* bit will be your device serial number) - keep the 'ORIGINAL' directory intact
- Put the SD card back in your device
- Turn on your device while holding down 'Home' to enter the recovery partition again
- Connect your USB cable - if you're not rooted, you may need to enable 'USB Debugging' in Applications -> Development
- On your PC type 'adb shell' then 'nandroid-mobile.sh -r'
- When prompted for an image name type ORIGINAL (which is the name of the directory you put on your SD right?). Press enter again to accept the restore option.
- Wait
- Reboot

ALL DONE!

1. Connect the handset to the PC with the USB cable
2. Open a command prompt window to the folder where you extracted modacopatchedrecovery-1.0.zip
4. Type './adb shell reboot bootloader' to enter the bootloader.
5. Type './fastboot boot cm-hero-recovery.img' - the device will now boot into the recovery image.
6. Use the trackball to scroll down to "Nandroid v2.2 backup" and press to select
7. Wait while your device is backed up to /sdcard/nandroid/HT*/
8. Job done!

The instructions assume that you've already flashed the recovery image to your device, hence the Power + Home instruction, btw. This way saves you the bother. ;)

Hey thanks for the info and its worked very well.

i just made the backup on SD card then copy the Backup on to my desktop and replace on SD card the one I downloaded from the internet which is official .img files

copy all the following files back to my SD card under nandroid\HT*\CB*\

boot.img, cache.img, data.img, misc.img, nandroid.md5, recovery.img and system.img files back to the SD card

then I reboot the device into bootloader and then use the following code provided by u>>

fastboot boot cm-hero-recovery.img

then select the most recent back restore
( it did restore the most recent back but i replace the .img files earlier before the restore and worked very well.. all the Orange logos from the phone and bookmarks deleted and also if now HTC going to release update for the HTC hero firmware i dont have to wait for Orange to release until next year or so as they really slow releasing update for their generic handset.

I appreciated ur help. thanks again
