Unable to open pics in handcent

Had to replace my Hero because the old one was acting up, anyway since reinstalling Handcent I have been having issues opening pics or vids. For the most part I get an error message saying downloaded message was unsuccessful.

I get the exact same thing. Mine was working then stopped for awhile (before I rooted) and was working fine until about a month ago. I even removed handcent and loaded chomp but still no joy.

whenever I go to that link it says my account is locked, wtf?

yeah, that's how i've had to get my pics, going back door!

Try going on the site with your PC and see if you can get it unlocked and then maybe you wont have problems getting to it on your phone. If you still have problems contact Sprint to unlock your account.

Hard resetting your phone back to factory settings is a temporary fix that works, but in my opinion isn't worth it. After I did a hard reset the problem came back after a month and to me its just not worth re-customizing everything that often. So I also either have pics emailed or use the sprint picture mail website.

i'm right there w/ ya, i had 10 pages of pics/vids/messages that i had to delete. what sucks is that they don't have a "delete all" or boxes so that you check the ones that you want to delete instead of doing it one-by-one. i deleted all of them & just saved the pics on my PC.

I know it says the pic will expire, but it doesn't. The pic is still on the web site, it just says "expired" underneath it.

Try this...

When receiving a MMS through Handcent, make sure the sender uses the subject line for texts and the body for pictures only. I used to get text and pics on the body line and I wouldn't be able to view the pics and for some reason, having the text (words) on the subject line and pictures on the body line by itself works just fine.

This is the first thing I tried when Handcent behaving badly... unfortunately, it didn't work for me.
