How do you modify music info?

I download songs and I know how to change their titles using APEX and on the computer but they all have unknown artists. I was just wondering how to modify the Artist name.. If poosible?

This is with Droid Eris..

If you're wanting to edit the tags from your phone, you could try using iTag. It's a free download in the market. I haven't tried it myself.
Or...
You could try Music Junk, also free in the market. I've used this one for downloading music, but haven't needed to used it as an id3 editor yet.

Hope that helps :)

I edited a bunch of songs using iTag and the names changed, but I can't get the pictures to show up with the stock Music app. I cleared the data for Music in the Applications settings, and I even copied everything onto my computer and started up the player without any music on my SD card...then moved everything back, hoping it'll re-scan and see the new pictures. The new pictures do show up on the computer, though.

Any ideas?

Download album art grabber from the market. It's free and works great. You have to have the correct album in the id3 tag, though. I added album art from my PC and the Eris refused to recognize the album art for some reason.

Also, for anybody looking for a good application to tag your entire collection, download TagTuner. You can do mass tags and it can generate artist and song info based on your filename. You get 30 days to try it out, which is plenty of time to tag your entire collection properly.

I use mp3 tagger pro. There is a free version too, the free version will allow you to edit single files and the pro version will allow you to batch edit whole directories. It work pretty fast, I've used it to organize all of my music. Just edit the album and artist name and click on the picture icon to set album art. Album art works with the stock player. I also use the "3" music player from RockOn which has an auto art grabber and a pretty cool interface.

I am missing artist info for the music and itag tells me it can't edit bc its not an mp3 file.

I think my files are .wma

Is there a way I can edit artist info manually, or better yet a program that will get artist info whether its a wma or mp3 or some other format?

(I used doubleTwist to sync music to my Droid.)
Mp3tag. Its a very robust ID tag editor for Windows. Despite its name, it should be able to change the tag info for WMA files. So download that, plug in your phone, and find the file you need to edit.

The install file is in exe. format, which Android doesn't support, so is there anything similar where you can mass tag that works on Android? (I may be wrong about this but in my case when I tried to open the file a window popped out and said something like: "file format isn't supported") I desperately need mass tagging because i have over 1000 songs on my phone and almost everyone of them has wrong tags and it's pretty slow to tag them one by one.
