just checked the fedex site for giggles. now its updated as shipped out today and overnight delivery will get it tomorrow by 3pm... WOOT WOOT

kinda odd that its coming from ontario CA as i live in ohio... why did it not ship from TN or PA. much closer

Im confused- how did it go from, being sent to TN, to now just shipment info being processed, did it unprocess? are they going to hold it for some reason? why you do this to me fedex!!

P.S. - estimated delivery is tomorrow @3PM

My shipment information was given to them an hour in the future from now lol. Dont think it really matters. Just ignore it

just to see how stupid verizon is for giggles i calculated up what my shipping from ca or tn would be. granted not including their discounts. the shipping alone is a $15 diff... so between mine and tiiki shipments thats roughly a $30 price diff just in shipping.... why would they not atleast look at zip codes and choose the best place to ship from to save them some money

I normally send things to work but I could not due to the fires. My facility was shut down during the fires (returned for the first time since fires just today).

So the irony is this. I sent it to my home and have been working from home for the past two weeks. Yesterday I received notice that we are to return to work at the facility this am. Now I am at work and my delivery is "On Truck" and nobody is there to receive it. Gaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!

I left a note hope it works.

I also have another dilemma, I need to leave straight from work rush home and pick up my son so I can support a "Court of Honor" tonight for the scouts. Since I am the committee chair I "HAVE" to be there. So I will have to wait until ~9:30 pm tonight to even see the box. Unless on the couple minutes I am at home I grab the box and tune out a couple scouts while I start the charging .

To top the day off I got to my desk (wanted to charge my ASUS tablet since it has not seen the charger for the past two weeks) and my charger was stolen by one of the workers the company hired to clean up our office so we could return. GAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!

My S3 has been camped out in Memphis TN all day. Still waiting for news it has moved to the next point. Supposed to be here tomorrow. I even got word from VZW today answering my request to upgrade to overnight. Of course they did not reply until after it had shipped, but said I already have overnight shipping for free, "a $12.99 value!" per their exact words. And it will be here by 3PM tomorrow.

That makes me think it must 'somehow' still be possible to ask for overnight shipping. Maybe not on the website, but if you order by phone or something??

BTW, for anyone else still waiting/checking tracking info periodically, I installed the Parcels app today (previously mentioned in this thread) and it works pretty well. You can put in several tracking numbers through carriers all around the globe, and give custom names to each package. Then set a notification ringtone if you like, to play each time any one of the tracked packages makes another move or other delivery related motion and causes the tracking to update. I have it set to refresh every 30 minutes, (which is the shortest time selectable, but you can manually refresh it as well) and it is nicely tracking 2 UPS, one USPS, and of course one FedEx. Pretty nifty.

I have received my S3 with the understanding that even after the Share Now when I activate my phone I would keep my UNLIMITED DATA. Now they're trying to force me into a Share plan!! I'm sure this has already been discussed, but I don't have the time to search. Anybody else who has encountered this problem, please tell me what number to call or who to speak to get this correct ASAP! Thanks in advance!

Killerfocus had the same problem, here was his solution:

Called them and nada. Tweeted my complaint to @VZwireless. 5 minuts later im back on unlimited"

Any of you on the fence over the whole locked bootloader issue might like to look into the 'bounty' mentioned in the Verizon GS3 All Things Root section. Very interesting indeed. The pot is growing rather large. Hopefully it will motivate the right dev to remedy the situation.

I'm not rubbing it in guys, but I've had this phone since about 130 today. I have to say I love this phone. Wifi is fast, great reception, no real lag time. Been setting up and playing with this phone to my liking all night. My only issue is the video shakes a bit. I'm hoping it's just a simple software fix. Other than that, It's great. You all are gonna love it..

BTW, I'm coming from a broken down HTC incredible which sucked..I was watching a video on you tube and couldn't believe how amazing it looked. Crystal clear.

Mine did the same thing (Memphis and all, still sitting in Memphis for overnight delivery tomorrow). Last night I Googled that 3rd line you have above, and the explanation I was finding is that this is not the same as "billing information received" you see at the start of a shipment. Apparently what this means is more like an internal communication within the FedEx system to tell all their hubs that the package has entered the system. At least, that's what I read. It is worded confusing though, isn't it? Maybe if it said "shipping information distributed" or something it might not look so much like an initial dialogue.

They are consistent, since apparently Best Buy is getting them in stock as of today, but not selling until Thursday. Same story in two Kentucky Best Buys as far as waiting until Thursday, even if received today.

My local Best Buy's won't tell me if they have stock

If for some reason your phone's internet connection gets lost for a moment, the Parcel app will show "tracking unavailable" on your packages. Don't let that throw you.

One reason I decided to go ahead and upgrade now (aside from keeping unlimited data) is that my DX's wifi (usually on all the time here at home) has been flaky. So it did the above to me a couple times today. But I can get it back by toggling airplane mode. Once I do the tracking resumes. I think its the DX hardware itself, because it did the same thing on a different ROM I tried 2 days ago, and came back to CM7.

Also, it has been my experience over the years that with overnight packages (UPS and FedEx at least) 'sometimes' the tracking can't keep up with the movement of the package itself. I've received said packages and only later in the day did the tracking catch up. One reason I'm not upset about my S3 showing in Memphis for the past 17 hours when it is due here in Ohio tomorrow. I have faith in FedEx.

I hope you guys realize that Ontario CA is Canada and not California, Ontario Canada is pretty close to Ohio, a lot closer than California.
